On Day 5 of Lakmé Fashion Week winter/festive 2019, someone special made a debut and made everyone’s heads turn with her cuteness. Making the debut on the ramp was Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani’s soon-to-be two-year-old daughter, Radhya Takhtani. Esha and Bharat had embraced parenthood for the first time on October 20, 2017, with the arrival of their little princess and since then, the lives of everyone in the Deol-Takhtani families have been revolving around her. Radhya has now been promoted to ‘big sister’ as Esha and Bharat welcomed another little angel, Miraya Takhtani on June 10, 2019.
For the Hamleys’ ramp camp at the Lakmé Fashion Week, the runway was decorated with teddy bears, a yellow-coloured playing staircase and colourful blocks with other toys, as the showstopper mother-daughter duo walked hand-in-hand. For the ramp, Esha looked stunning in denim shorts with a red top and a black leather bomber. Accentuating her look were those wavy tresses let loose, danglers, black strappy heels and her subtle nude makeup. Her not-so-little-anymore daughter, Radhya looked like an angel in a top and skirt in the hues of white and pink. And not to miss is the kaala teeka on Radhya’s forehead to prevent her from buri nazar.
Esha Deol posted on her Instagram, the first-ever pictures and video from her baby girl, Radhya Takhtani’s ramp debut. In the caption, she also mentioned that her hubby and proud father, Bharat Takhtani was cheering for the mother-daughter duo from the audience section. She flaunted her post-pregnancy look and walked the ramp for the first time after giving birth to her second baby, Miraya Takhtani. Esha wrote, “Radhya’s first #rampwalk @lakmefashionwk @lakmeindia for @hamleys_india with #prouddaddy @bharattakhtani3 to cheer us for us from the audience #proudmom #momanddaughter #babygirl #fashionweek #india @stregismumbai #lakmefashionweek2019 #radhyatakhtani #eshadeol #hamleys.”

In an interview with the Mumbai Mirror, post giving birth to her second daughter, Miraya Takhtani, Esha Deol had revealed how the names of both her angels are connected. Esha had stated, “When Lord Krishna worships Radha, it’s called Radhya, while Miraya means a devotee of Lord Krishna. Both the girls have that in common and I love how Radhya and Miraya sound together.” Explaining the upside of having two kids, Esha was quoted as saying, “My sister and I shared a room for a long time, and so did my husband and his younger brother. We are going to get the girls to share the nursery that Noorien (Jumani, interior designer) had designed for us earlier. Now, she has tweaked the interiors to make room for Miraya. The girls are going to share a lot of things, from doll houses to clothes. We are also getting a playroom ready.”
In an interview with The Times Of India, Esha Deol had revealed how motherhood changed her as a person, “It has definitely matured me up in a big way. Having your own child makes you grow up overnight. This is the first time I am experiencing unconditional love in the purest form. I thank God every day for giving this beautiful little child who calls me maa and when she says my name, my heart just melts.”
Sharing what inspirations does she take from her mother, Hema Malini, Esha Deol had remarked, “In every step in my daily routine. She is the most amazing woman to have at home, whom I can call my mother. I am blessed to have a mother like her whom the entire nation looks up to. The fact she can get inspired by a topic like Ganga and create an entire dance ballet, giving a beautiful message to our nation, get it on stage to perform with all these dancers, it’s amazing. I wish my maa all the best pray she may continue to be an inspiration to all of us.” (Also Read: Jay Bhanushali Narrates His Experience Of How People Still Don't Celebrate The Birth Of A Girl Child)
