Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is one of the most popular singers in both Pakistan and India. He sings songs like O Re Piya, Teri Ore, Tere Bin, Mere Rashke Qamar, Jag Ghoomeya, and more. The singer is known primarily for singing Qawwali and is presently one of the highest-paid singers in Pakistan. Recently, several news reports emerged claiming that the singer was arrested in Dubai following a complaint from his former manager.
As soon as the reports emerged about Rahat Fateh Ali Khan's arrest, the singer issued a clarification about it. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan took to his IG handle and shared a video where he could be seen relaxing in Dubai. He urged his fans not to believe the fake news reports. At the same time, he clarified that he had come to Dubai to record a song and had not been arrested. In addition, his lawyer also said that the reports of his arrest were 'fake.' The singer said in the video:

"I am in Dubai to record a few songs. I urge you not to believe such rumours..do not waste your time over them..keep supporting and uplifting your artist. You are my power after almighty Allah."

On July 22, 2024, Geo TV shared a news report that singer, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was arrested in Dubai after his former manager filed a defamation complaint against him. The news was picked and circulated by several other Pakistani media houses. The reports further mentioned that he was detained by the immigration centre when he came to Dubai. Moreover, the police were questioning him after his arrest.
The previous news reports suggested that Rahat Fateh Ali Khan had dismissed his manager, Salman Ahmed, a few months ago. However, the two fell into a dispute over the issue. As a result, they both filed a complaint against each other. However, neither of them has officially addressed any of these claims.
