Mahesh Bhatt's son, Rahul Bhatt, is known for his stint in Bigg Boss 4. He has since undergone a complete transformation and is now back with insights into the Bhatt clan. The actor, who is known as the man of few words, in a recent interview, shared his views on his father and sister, Pooja Bhatt's controversial kiss.
Rahul Bhatt recently sat for a candid conversation with Hindi Rush, where he opened up about some of the most talked about topics regarding the Bhatts. Among them was the magazine cover from the 1990s. The cover featured his father, Mahesh Bhatt, and sister, Pooja Bhatt, kissing on the lips. The picture caused a lot of controversy and while both of the involved parties have discussed and clarified the issue several times over the years, it was now Rahul who spoke on the issue.
During the conversation, Rahul Bhatt was asked to share his thoughts on the controversy surrounding the magazine cover. The actor recalled he was around 13-14 years old when it happened, and revealed that while some star kids scum to these criticism some become strong and he became extremely stong. He added that people could say all they want, but he knew what was going on at his home, hence he became immune to it. He was quoted as saying:
"I must've been 13-14. Woh sab cheez humare mein dekho kya hai hai, vo film parivaar ke bacche na ya toh bohot messed up hotey hai ya toh bohot majboot hotey hai. Toh kuch cheezon mei toh mai bohot (majboot hu). Kuch farak nahi padta hai. It's like whatever."
Rahul Bhatt further talked about how he has been a witness to the death threats, IT raids and fights since he was extremely young. He shared how growing up with constant scrutiny made him immune to negativity. However, he added that he has not lost his humanity, but become a better person for it. He was quoted as saying:
"Humko malum hai kya sach hai, humne bachpan se dekha hai, death threats, IT raids, ye morche, ye kharche, ye maara-mari bachpan se dehtey aa rahe hai. Kuch farak nahi padta. You get completely immune, in a good way, without losing on your humanity. That's what I have held onto, I have not become bitter, I have become better, but I am not sold out."
Pooja Bhatt had also addressed the controversy in an interview with Siddharth Kannan. During the chat she revealed that the shoot had drawn significant attention. However, she doesn't regret it, because moments can be captured and interpreted in many ways. She also shared a piece of advice Shah Rukh Khan had offered her and said that he told her that when you have young children, they often ask for a kiss from their parents in a playful, innocent way, and despite being an adult she has always remained her father, Mahesh Bhatt's 'little girl', and that has never changed.
