In an interview with Zoom Digital, Poison 2 actor, Rahul Dev recalled the painful time of his life, when his first-wife, Rina Dev had passed away, and he had played the role of both father and mother for his son, Siddharth Dev. The actor also talked about his four and a half year gap from acting for his son's well-being. He said, "Imagine, how much of a parent would I have been to him? If you are physically not around your child, that is not parenting right. If you have to know the child, you need to know the child. In those four and a half years, I fulfilled that. Attending parent-teacher meetings with him, doing classwork with him, education, I did all of that, and I played a father and mother both. He was only 11 at that time. Then, he went to London to educate himself, he did very well there, and he came back last year."
Rahul Dev was married to Rina Dev for eleven years, and in the year 2009, she had passed away after giving a tough fight to cancer. After so many years of loneliness, Rahul had found solace in Bollywood actress, Mugdha Godse, whom he had met in a common friend's wedding in 2013. It was not a love at first sight, however, the two had developed a special bond through the entire wedding function. After a series of meetings, the two had decided to be together despite the age gap of 14 years. From friends, the two had turned into a couple and had completed 7 years of togetherness this year.
