Rahul Mahajan recently grabbed all the headlines when he shared the news of his divorce with his third wife, Natalya Ilina. For the unversed, this is the third time that Rahul’s personal life has suffered major turbulence, due to his two prior divorces with ex-wives, Dimpy Ganguly and Shweta Singh. The rumours about his third wedding on the verge of dissolving had garnered a lot of rumours, which cited various reasons, including Rahul wanting a baby to Natalya aiming for Rahul’s whopping alimony. And now, amidst all the buzz, Rahul spoke about how he has lost faith in the institution of marriage and love itself.
In an interaction with ETimes, Rahul Mahajan claimed that he is emotionally misfit and unavailable at the moment. He says that although he can meet and speak to everyone, he has lost faith in the idea of love, and is scared about it. Highlighting the stigma in society about frequent divorces, Rahul clarified that he needs a lot of time to heal from his emotional trauma. In his words:
“I am emotionally unavailable at the moment. I can meet someone, talk to someone, but pyaar main nahi kar sakta because mujhe darr hogaya hai. I need to heal, I’m not fit.”

In another of his interviews with Bombay Times, Rahul Mahajan dismissed speculations on his third divorce, that claimed that it all happened because of his desire to have a baby with his wife. Apparently, Natalya and Rahul were not on the same page about having a child together. On the contrary, Rahul mentioned that the speculations weren’t true, and that if he were to share his side of the story, then it would come out as a one-sided thing. He had mentioned:
“I did not want baby ever in this relationship. We never tried. Natalya and I did not have plans for a baby, and neither did I ever desire it. I am 48, I don’t want a baby now."
In the same interview, Rahul Mahajan had shared whether his ex-wife, Natalya separated from him over the matter of a hefty alimony that she would receive. Dismissing it all, Rahul clarified that over his three divorces to date, he didn’t have to pay even a single penny of alimony. He claimed that although he never wished to go through so many marriages and divorces, however, all three times, he parted ways from his ex-wives mutually.

Rahul Mahajan had tied the knot for the third time with Kazakhstan-based model, Natalya Ilina in November 2018. However, their wedding was absolutely low-key and the duo managed to keep their relationship away from the limelight for the longest time. The duo later participated in the reality show, Smart Jodi as partners. During the same, Rahul had spoken up about the massive age gap of 18 years, that he shared with Natalya. Revealing an anecdote where the latter tried to set him up with her mom, who was closer to his age, Rahul had said:
“Her mother is quite young. She is elder to me by four years. So Natalya thought of setting me up with her mom, because the age gap was less. Natalya and I have an age gap of 18 years. I made an idea that she will also look hot when she is of her mother’s age."
