Singer, Rahul Vaidya and his wife, Disha Parmar have been soaring high on the personal front. The lovebirds hopped onto their parenthood journey on September 20, 2023, as they welcomed their baby girl. For the unversed, Rahul and Disha exchanged vows on July 16, 2021. And the duo announced their pregnancy news on May 18, 2023. Now, the newbie father, Rahul talked about embracing fatherhood.

In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Rahul Vaidya opened up about embracing fatherhood. Talking about the same, the singer revealed that he feels he is on top of the world. Mentioning how his baby girl was born during an auspicious time, Rahul stated that his wife, Disha and their daughter are doing well. In his words:

"This whole feeling is just unexplainable. I am on top of the world. The baby was born in the most auspicious time. Ganesh ji ke saath Laxmi aayi hai hamare ghar. Both Disha and our newborn daughter are doing fine; they’re happy and hearty."

Further, in the same conversation, Rahul revealed how he felt when he held his newborn baby girl for the first time. Calling it an emotional moment, the newbie dad stated that he was numb for a few hours before realising that he had got the biggest gift of his life. Rahul also mentioned that whenever he sees his daughter, he starts crying. Elaborating more on it, he said:

"I was happily numb for three to four hours. Mujhe samajh hi nahi aa raha tha ho kya raha hai. I have cried five to six times since she was born. Whenever I see her, I get teary eyed. I’m still choking while talking; I feel so overwhelmed. It’s like you know it will happen soon, but when it actually happens, it’s just a different feeling."

Rahul on manifesting Disha's delivery during Ganesh Chaturthi

In the same conversation, Rahul revealed that his and Disha's pregnancy journey had been unplanned, right from conceiving to delivery. Talking about the same, the singer revealed that a day before his wife's delivery, they were visiting their friends' houses for Ganesh Chaturthi and suddenly, at night, her labour started. Rahul also added that he manifested Disha's delivery during Ganesh Chaturthi as earlier, she was due in October 2023.

Rahul further added that he still cannot digest the fact that he is a father to a daughter now. The singer also revealed that he and Disha have shortlisted a few names for their baby girl, but her final name will be decided according to the raashi. Rahul further mentioned that Disha and their baby will get discharged on his birthday, which is on September 23, 2023.

For the unversed, it was on September 20, 2023, when Rahul Vaidya and Disha Parmar announced their "good news". Taking to their respective Ig handles, the couple dropped an animated picture of a baby elephant, who was decked up in a pink scarf. Sharing the picture, Rahul and Disha revealed that they were blessed with a baby girl. The picture also featured a sash that reads, "iT'S A GiRL." Along with the picture, Rahul also penned a long note and revealed that the newbie mommy, Disha and their baby are doing perfectly fine.
