According to a report on Rediff.com, whenever Raj Kapoor travels to the East, especially in Russia or Afghanistan, he is asked a lot about his relationship with the legendary Indian actor Raj Kapoor.
Once, in an interview with Las Vegas Review, Raj Kapoor talked about his Bollywood namesake. The Oscars producer admitted that even during his growing years, people used to ask him about Bollywood legend, Raj Kapoor. Further, in his statement, Raj Kapoor also admitted that he is 'flattered' to have the same name as the Indian great. He said:
"I get asked that a lot now! Even as a little kid, but now a lot more often in being in entertainment. Yes, we have the same name, but we're not related! I'm flattered to have the same name as him."
Apart from producing shows, Raj Kapoor also runs a Los Angeles-based company, Raj Kapoor Productions, which offers creative concepts and innovative set designs to its customers.
