It was in 1998 when Shweta Tiwari was just 19-year-old, she had tied the knot with the then-struggling actor, Raja Chaudhary. Shweta had met Raja through her friend, who was his cousin and soon, their friendship had blossomed into love. After dating for a few months, Shweta and Raja had decided to take their relationship to the next level. But because Raja was a struggling actor at that time, Shweta’s mother wasn’t supportive of their marriage decision. But Shweta had decided to marry Raja, and two years into marital bliss, the couple had welcomed their daughter, Palak Tiwari. A few years into married life, their relationship had gone toxic and Shweta became a victim of domestic violence. In 2007, Raja and Shweta had officially separated and were granted the divorce.
Shweta Tiwari’s ex-husband, Raja Chaudhary is on cloud nine as he met his daughter, Palak Tiwari after 13 years. Soon after meeting Palak, Raja posted a picture with her on his Facebook profile and captioned it as “Moment of my life” and sharing the same on Instagram, he wrote, “What to say”. Expressing his excitement on meeting his daughter after 13 long years, Raja said in an interview with The Times Of India, "I was meeting her after 13 long years! When I last saw her she was a baby and now she is a grown up girl."
Revealing how they planned to meet and details about the conversations they had, Raja Chaudhary said, "Palak and I were in touch with each other through Whatsapp messages. Every day I used to message her Good Morning. But we hadn't met at all. I was staying in Meerut with my parents. But had some work in Mumbai, so I called Palak who was rehearsing for her film. She took time out and we met at a hotel in Andheri in Mumbai for around one and a half hours. There were no grudges between us nor did we discuss our past. There were only pyaar bhari talks between us. I told her about my side of the family -- her dada-dadi, chacha-chachi, etc. She was excited to know about them and told me that she will soon come to visit us all. It is a new phase for both of us. I am still that ever caring and loving father for her." (Also Read: Jasmin Bhasin And Boyfriend, Aly Goni Set Off For A Road Trip, She Shares A Cute Picture)

My love for Palak has not changed at all over these years, even though I wasn't allowed to meet her all these years. But now she is a grown up girl and can take her own decisions. I wish I would have met her all these years, but it is okay. I really missed all the things a father would want to enjoy with his daughter- her growing up, her school, her likes and dislikes, etc. But when I met her today, I realized my daughter Palak has turned out to be a beautiful girl, it's all thanks to my ex-wife Shweta Tiwari. I am really happy now."
