Rajesh Keshav On Life Support, After Undergoing Emergency Surgery, Had Collapsed During An Event

Popular actor and television presenter, Rajesh Keshav is in critical condition after he collapsed during an event in Kochi. Fondly known as 'RK', the actor is an immensely loved face in the South Indian film industry, and the news has left his fans extremely heartbroken. Rajesh Keshav collapsed, suffering a cardiac arrest

It was on August 24, 2025, when Rajesh Keshav appeared for a live event in Kochi. According to a report by The Times of India, the actor was doing just fine until he suddenly collapsed on the stage, leaving everyone shocked. As per the reports, Rajesh's sudden collapse left the audience present at the venue and fans across Kerala absolutely horrified.

The 49-year-old was hosting the final moments of a public programme when he suddenly collapsed. The eyewitnesses revealed that Rajesh Keshav was fine. However, all of a sudden, he collapsed, and a distress team, organisers and medical staff rushed to their aid. They further added that once the first aid was done, the actor was immediately taken to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment.  

The report by the Times of India further revealed that soon after reaching the hospital, Rajesh Keshav was taken for an emergency angioplasty and is currently on life support. For the uninitiated, angioplasty is a procedure that opens clogged blood vessels in the heart. A tiny balloon on a narrow tube (catheter) is used to widen these arteries, thereby improving blood flow. The hospital source has revealed that Rajesh is currently on the ventilator in the intensive care unit. Doctors are closely monitoring his condition as fans and well-wishers wait anxiously for further updates.

Filmmaker, Prathap Jayalakshmi shared an update on Rajesh Keshav

Filmmaker Prathap Jayalakshmi, who was present at the event, shared a heartfelt message on social media. He revealed that the actor who once set the stage ablaze was now holding onto his life with the help of a ventilator. He added that Rajesh needs prayers and the love of his fans in this difficult moment. A part of his note could be quoted as saying:

"Our beloved Rajesh, the man who once set every stage ablaze with life, now lies silent, breathing only with the help of a machine. What he needs now is not medicine alone, but the unstoppable power of our love and prayers."
