Rajkummar Rao is one of the most versatile actors of his generation. The talented man has captivated millions of hearts with his exceptional skill in the craft, that never fails to impress the audience. He made his debut with the film, Love Sex Aur Dhokha in 2010. However, he grabbed the attention of audience with his subsequent films like Kai Po Che, Shahid, Queen and Citylights among others. In his personal life, he is married to actress, Patralekhaa Paul.
A few days back, several pictures of Rajkummar Rao during one of his public appearances grabbed attention, due to his changed facial features. The actor looked entirely different, and it immediately churned speculations about him going under the knife and opting for plastic surgery. However, the case hasn’t quite been so. In a recent interaction with Bollywood Hungama, Rajkummar cleared the air about it and simply dismissed it as a work of poor editing. In his words:

“I have not done any plastic surgery guys. It is just a bad photo. That is just a touch-up photo. I wish I had such clean and flawless skin because it looks like that. I was not wearing any makeup. But I must say it looks weird even for me. It was just a bad moment caught on camera. I have not done any plastic surgery.”

Continuing with the same line of conversation, Rajkummar Rao then went onto reveal that he opted for fillers eight years back, since he wished to enhance his chin area, under the suggestion of his dermatologist. Talking about that decision, the actor further remarked that it definitely made him feel more confident about his looks, and he even got better film opportunities post it. He further expressed:
“Having said that, about eight years ago, I did some filler work on my chin because I wanted to look confident. My dermatologist suggested it and I did. Do I feel confident after that? Yes. Have I done better films after that. It has changed the perception.”
In the concluding note of the interview, Rajkummar Rao opened up about his perceptions on actors getting their facial features altered by opting for different treatments. He added that since acting is a visual medium, it is quite alright for people to opt for such treatments, since it boosts their confidence. Moreover, he claimed that plastic surgery is an expensive and time-consuming procedure in his regard. In his words:
“Acting is a visual media. I am not against it. If somebody wants to boost their confidence and the science is available, then why not. But no to plastic surgery. It is too expensive and time-consuming.”
