South superstar, Rajnikanth has a global fanbase and is known for his unique acting chops. Thalaiva worked as coolie, bus conductor, producer before making his way into the film industry with his hard work. However, his alleged relationship with Nagarjuna Akkineni's wife, Amala had touted a lot of controversy. For the unversed, Rajnikanth fell for young Latha, his now wife in the 1980s when she had come to interview him. However, when Amala entered his life, there was a time when he reportedly wanted to divorce Latha.
Rajnikanth created a niche for himself in the film industry with his merit. He became famous due to his talent, good looks, height, and personality. Reportedly, the actor broke off his affair with Amala, and it is alleged that after her breakup, she cast her spell on Nagarjuna, and it is said the rest is history.
It was alleged that the legendary actor was threatened by his fans that they would abandon him and his movies if he left Latha and his kids for Amala. They would do protests and reports online revealing that the actor had also received warning letters. Although many claim that Amala and Rajnikanth never had any affair and it was just gossip around the mill.

Latha's birth occurred in a Tamil Brahmin house in Chennai, India. She graduated in English literature degree from Chennai’s Ethiraj College. Latha was a playback singer back in the 1980s and used to croon for varied Tamil movies. Rajnikanth met Latha on the sets of Thillu Mallu, where she had come to conduct the interview.
