The comedian shared that he had reported the matter to the Mumbai Police, and an FIR related to the same was also lodged. Now, the actor has given his first statement related to the shocking mail he received.
An FIR was lodged with Mumbai Police after celebrities like Kapil, Rajpal, and Sughandha were targeted. Rajpal, in an interview with IANS revealed he does not want to talk about the threat he got. The actor shared that he has given the information to both the police and the cyber crime departments. Rajpal said:
"It's not my job to talk about this incident when I don't know anything about it." Yadav further said, "I am an actor, and in acting, I try to entertain people of all ages, young and old, through my work. I don't want to say anything more than this. Whatever needs to be said about this matter, the agencies are capable of providing the information. I have shared the details I was aware of."
Rajpal's wife, Radha Yadav, had filed a police complaint. The Ambala Police registered an FIR under Section 351(3) of the IPC against unknown individuals. It was on December 14, 2024, when he, Kapil, and Sugandha received a death threat from Pakistan via an email. The sender used the name 'Bishnu' and sent the mail reportedly from the email address, 'Don99284'. It also claimed that Kapil was on the hit list as Salman Khan sponsored his show. A part of the threat mail read:
"We are watching your recent actions closely. We believe it is necessary to bring a sensitive matter to your attention. This is not a public stunt or an attempt to harass you. We request that you take this message seriously and maintain confidentiality".
The sender of the mail from Pakistan also said that the threat was not a public stunt; however, it was a serious warning and urged the recipients of the mail to handle it with a lot of confidentiality. Now, the law enforcement officers in Mumbai have reportedly confirmed that the origin of the mail is from Pakistan and that investigations are ongoing. The death threats have come from Bishnu, who had demanded a reply from the stars within eight hours of receiving the mail. The sender also threatened that if the stars failed to reply, they would have to face many consequences on their professional and personal front. However, the line of action taken by the law enforcement people has not yet been revealed.
