Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani recently jumped into a new phase of their lives after tying the knot. They tied the knot on February 21, 2024, in a beachside wedding in Goa. Since then, the lovebirds have been seen enjoying every small moment with one another to the fullest, and proof of the same is often found on their social media handles. Now, the duo opened up about the various changes that took place in their relationship post marriage.
In a recent joint interview with Hindustan Times, Rakul Preet and Jackky Bhagnani were asked if anything changed between the two of them after getting the ‘married’ tag. To this, the actress immediately answered, "I am not feeling one percent change." However, Jackky mentioned that they respect one another's work and space properly. Moreover, he heaped praises on Rakul and said:
"I am proud of what she (Rakul) does."

Further, in the same conversation, Rakul explained how there is a sense of happier changes after her wedding to Jackky. She remarked that they had discussed certain things during their dating period, which made their relationship stronger. The newbie wife mentioned that she don't need to call Jackky several times a day as she gets bored. Instead, they are each other's biggest strength. She stated:
"When we were first dating- three years back- we had a conversation about this then only. I am happy, you are happy, neither of us are trying to fill any void. We are complete as individuals, together we are just happier. If you really follow this... I don’t have to call him 15 times a day ‘I am getting bored, how are you’ I have to figure what I have to do in my life, same for him. When we are together, we leave work behind. The biggest strength we share is we are best friends, there’s nothing we can’t share with each other."
Earlier, in an interaction with DNA, Rakul had opened up about the first time Jackky came to meet her father, during the initial years of their relationship. She mentioned that the interaction took place back in 2021. Afterwards, she explained how she had prepped her father to not be awkward before Jackky. Rakul shared that soon enough, after meeting Jackky, her father questioned the actor-turned-filmmaker about his plans with the former’s daughter. Adding how, at that precise moment, food got stuck in her throat, Rakul said:
“I think I was the most worried. I prepped my dad and told him, ‘He is coming and meeting you for the first time. Do not make it very awkward. He is not army.’ But then fathers being fathers ask the question straight up. But Jackky was prepared. He had come to Delhi for my mom’s birthday. I had prepped my dad saying don’t make it awkward because we had just started dating. I told him ‘You just see the boy’. I told Jackky not to worry because he won’t ask anything."
Moving forward in the conversation, Rakul further added:
"Then we were having lunch and my dad asked him what his plan was. He started with plans for his next release Mission Raniganj. My dad just said, ‘Work and all is good but what is your plan with my daughter?” My food got stuck in my throat… The funniest thing was that he just took it very well and said, ‘Whenever she is ready, I am ready.’ And that was it, my father became a fan.”

Right after her wedding with Jackky, it seems Rakul is not letting go of any opportunity to become a doting bahu for her in-laws. For instance, on February 24, 2024, Rakul dropped a picture of her life as the new bahu in the Bhagnani family. The then-newlywed bride shared a glimpse of the delicious halwa prepared by her for her chauka chardhana ritual. For the uninitiated, in Indian cultures, this ritual involves the new bride of the family preparing a sweet dish for her new family on her first day at the sasural.
