Ram Charan and Upasana Konidela are one of the most adorable couples in the South Indian film industry. Currently, the couple is on cloud nine as they welcomed twin babies. It was Ram Charan’s father and legendary actor, Chiranjeevi, who announced the good news. He called this a moment of 'pure joy'. While the couple kept the pregnancy news under wraps, a few days back, Ram’s team confirmed that the duo was expecting twins.

Currently, the Konidela family is over the moon as two cute little members joined them. Yes, you read it right. Ram Charan and his wife, Upasana Konidela have welcomed twins, one baby boy and one baby girl. The good news of the twin babies' arrival was confirmed by Ram’s father and star, Chiranjeevi. On January 31, 2026, he took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle and shared the good news. He mentioned that both the babies and the mother, Upasana, are healthy and are doing well. He wrote:

"With immense joy and a heart full of gratitude, we are happy to share that @AlwaysRamCharan and @upasanakonidela have been blessed with twins - a baby boy and a baby girl. Both the babies and the mother are healthy and doing well. Welcoming these little ones into our family is a moment of pure joy and divine blessing for us as grandparents. We sincerely thank everyone for their prayers, love, blessings and good wishes-Chiranjeevi & Surekha."

Ram Charan and Upasana Konidela welcomed their first child after ten years of their marriage

Ram Charan and Upasana Konidela got married in June 2012. The couple welcomed their first child, daughter, Klin Kaara, after ten years of their marriage in 2023. She conceived her first child naturally despite freezing her eggs. Speaking of the same, Upasana, in a past interview with Masoom Minawala said:

"So, the egg freezing procedure — my family encouraged me to go ahead and do it. And I was very happy that they pushed me towards it. But I had Kaara naturally. It's always wonderful to have that safety net."

Ram Charan and Upasana Konidela's love story

Ram and Upasana first met during their college days. From casual college mates to best friends, the couple stuck together and shared an inseparable bond. Eventually, they fell in love. Sharing details about their love story, Upasana once said in an interview:

"We were friends for a very long time – since college actually. There were no special feelings between us before I went overseas to study. Love just happened and it was a nice change. What drew us together was that we both knew we had to live up to the expectations our families had of us. We shared similar thoughts, we had the same problems, and we both shared the same outlook and belief of working hard to achieve success."

The duo began dating after the release of Ram’s film, Magadheera. On December 11, 2011, the couple exchanged rings at Temple Tree Farms, Hyderabad. After six months, Ram and Upasana got married on June 14, 2012. Sharing details about their married life, Ram once said in an interview, "It still feels like we are friends. Moreover, she always takes care of me big time. She also makes everything special for me. Which man won’t be floored with so much attention and affection? She remembers every minor and major habit of mine."

The couple is parents to three children. Once in an interview with Masoom Minawala, Upasana shared that Ram is a hands-on dad and takes equal responsibility. She called him an ace dad. She mentioned how Ram took care of their daughter when she was away at Harvard. She said, "He's a hands-on dad and takes equal responsibility — sometimes even more — when I'm travelling. For example, when I was at Harvard, Kaara was with him the entire time. He made sure to take her everywhere, ensured she ate well — and by the way, he's an ace dad when it comes to getting her to eat."
