At the 95th Academy Awards, the film, RRR made history as the movie won the Oscar award in the best original song category. The song, Naatu Naatu had already made ripples, and as a result of the complete victory, the nation was thrilled and enjoyed the moment. Actors, Jr. NTR, Ram Charan, and director, SS Rajamouli leapt with excitement at the historic occasion. In a recent interview, Ram Charan opened up about setting up a small temple wherever he and his wife, Upasana, go.

In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Ram Charan spoke about how he and his wife, Upasana Kamineni have a tiny routine of building a small temple wherever they go to feel connected to their motherland. Ram and Upasana have set up a small temple in their hotel room with Lord Ram, Lakshman, Sita, Ganesha, and Hanuman idols. Speaking about the same, Ram said:

 "Wherever I go, usually my wife and I set up this temple, this ritual, it just keeps us connected to our energies and India, and it is very important for all of us to when we being out day, thanking and showing gratitude to everything and every person who has helped us be here. Not too much, but it's just a few moments and we hit the road."

In the same interview, Ram Charan talked about his decision to wear Shantanu and Nikhil's creation for the momentous occasion of walking the Oscars red carpet. Mentioning how each element of his attire had an Indian connection, he shared:

"It's come out great and I'm feeling like I'm wearing India. It's detailed beautifully with everything. It's weighing down a little bit because India's pride is also on our shoulders and it is a little heavy. But literally thank you Nikhil, you've done a great job. Here you have a Bharat coin which is imposed with the Bharat symbol."

At the Oscars red carpet in 2023, Ram Charan's wife, Upasana Kamineni looked stunning in a beige-coloured saree that she contrasted with maroon jewellery and accessories. The dotting wife shared that she had come to support her husband, Ram, and to become a member of the RRR family. In her words:

"I am here to support Ram, and I am here to be a part of the RRR family. I am nervous, I am shaking a bit, but this is really amazing."

The actor, Ram Charan also showered his wife with love when Upasana said she was Ram Charan's biggest supporter during the award ceremony. Ram further mentioned that his wife is six months pregnant, and their unborn child is already bringing them a lot of luck. Speaking about the same, he said:

"Absolutely. She is pregnant as well. So I think...ya six months... I think that the baby is bringing us so much luck. From the Globes to standing with you guys right here."

For the unversed, the song, Naatu Naatu, has created history by becoming the first song from any Indian film to win the Best Song category at the Oscars 2023. It is the second Indian song to win this prestigious award, after Jai Ho from the film, Slumdog Millionaire, which won the award in 2009 in the same category.
