Marriage is like starting a new, un-discovered phase of your life. Now, you are responsible for two lives and it takes a huge amount of love to take a leap of faith. Country’s one of the most eligible bachelors, Bhallaldeva of Baahubali, Rana Daggubati had found love in Miheeka Bajaj. She is a Mumbai-based interior designer, who runs an event management and decor company, Dew Drop Design Studio. She is a London graduate, having completed her Masters in Interior Architecture from the University of the Arts, London. Apparently, Miheeka and Rana have known each other for the past ten years but had started dating two years back. Rana Daggubati had announced being 'taken' on his IG handle with a beautiful picture of the couple, and had written, "She said yes" alongside it. On May 20, 2020, Rana Daggubati and Miheeka Bajaj's families had sat together for a formal meeting to formalise a date for the couple's engagement and marriage. Posting a picture with his beautiful fiancée, Miheeka, Rana had written, "And it's official!!" Miheeka had also posted two pictures from the ceremony and had written, "To the beginning of forever @ranadaggubati" and "My happy place!@ranadaggubati". Here is one picture from their roka ceremony!
As Rana and Miheeka are ready to tie the knot on August 8, 2020, the most awaited wedding of the year is going to be an intimate affair, due to COVID-19. Earlier, there were rumours of a grand wedding taking place, but now, in an interaction with The Times of India, Rana’s father, Daggubati Suresh Babu has quipped the details about the wedding. Sharing that the ceremony will be a small but beautiful event, he said, “There will not be more than 30 people present at the wedding. We want to limit the guest list to just family and we haven’t invited even some of our closest friends, within and outside the film industry. The reality is that Covid-19 cases continue to rise and we don’t want our celebrations to risk anybody’s health, so I want to set the right example. The ceremony will be small but beautiful.”
The wedding is supposed to be taken place under a bio-secure bubble, which will be created as a precaution from COVID-19, along with it, all necessary safety measures will be taken. Rana’s father shared, “Everybody who will attend the wedding will get tested for Covid-19. We will also keep sanitisers across the venue and maintain social distance. It’s a happy occasion and we want to make it a safe one too.” Miheeka Bajaj’s mother, Bunty Bajaj also agreed to this and shared that safety comes first for them. She said, “It’s a special day for all of us and we want to celebrate it the right way. Safety comes first and we will not compromise in this regard.”
Miheeka’s mother, Bunty ji also talked about the other traditional functions that will be taking place at the bride and groom’s house before wedding. Sharing that the families don’t want their kids to miss out on functions, she said, “All functions will take place with our traditional Telugu and Marwari customs. We wanted all the functions to go on just like every other wedding. We don’t want our kids to miss out on anything. Only difference would be the reduced guest list. Miheeka and I have designed the entire theme for the wedding and we got a team from Delhi to execute it. I want to keep the theme a surprise so I won’t reveal what it is yet, but it will be truly special.” (Don't Miss: Jay Bhanushali Posts A Video Of Tara's Birthday Celebrations, Mommy, Mahhi Vij Pens Her Birth Story)

Bunty ji also shared that like every other girl, Miheeka also wants her wedding day to be perfect, and she is doing her best for the same. She shared that she has a few surprises planned for Miheeka as well. In her words, “Every girl dreams about her wedding day and wants it to be perfect and Miheeka is no different. As her mother, I’m trying everything I can to make it special for her. I have one or two surprises in store for her and I can’t wait to see her reaction on the D-Day.”
As the wedding is supposed to be an intimate affair and only 30 people are invited, the couple will be hosting a grand reception for their friends, family and well-wishers post the pandemic phase. Rana’s father revealed, “Yes there are a lot of people who would like to bless the couple but we have to think of safety at this time. May be once we get a vaccine or when the situation improves, we will host a party or a reception for those who missed out on the wedding.” Miheeka’s mother agreed to it saying, “So many of Miheeka’s friends from Mumbai were excited about the wedding but cannot make it due to the pandemic. I’m sure she will throw one big party for them after Covid. Let’s hope that happens soon.” (Recommended Read: Sushant Singh Rajput's Sister, Nitu Pens A Heart-Wrenching Poem For Her 'Gulshan' As Tribute For Him)
