In the conversation, Rana Daggubati opened up about his health struggles in the past. He mentioned that dealing with such health problems, he had turned into a self-centered person. The actor explained that it was because he got all the attention then and there, but explaining how he was still discontent, Rana added:
“I was at Mayo (Clinic in the US), it’s the only place we could figure out what had happened to me. It’s funny because once you get into this life-threatening zone, you start looking at life very differently. Till then, everything I built or moved me forward had me in the centre. But you realise that’s not how things should be."
Afterwards, Rana mentioned how he had gradually turned into a mean person. Explaining the same, Rana added that the illness was taxing on him physically. In addition, the other people's questions were impacting him more. He added:
“Everyone saw me bulked up for Baahubali. So, everyone asked if I was ill and I didn’t want to answer them. It was harder for me to live with people in the city, it was too much. I started becoming a slightly mean person. There was a point when if people asked about my health, I said unless you can donate a kidney or an eye, don’t ask about it. I didn’t like what I was doing.”

“Thankfully, I got the chance to shoot in the jungle, I was there for almost a year. I shot with elephants. Nobody judged me there, nobody there cared if I was sick. The silence there is what I needed in my life. Nature is a greater healer than anything else."
During the pre-release event of the film, King of Kotha, Rana recalled an incident involving Dulquer Salman and a top Bollywood actress. Revealing how the Hindi film heroine wasted Dulquer’s time, Rana said she was so engrossed in a phone conversation about shopping in London with her husband that it affected the shots. Thus, he couldn’t resist his anger, but Dulquer was calm. Soon after the video was posted, netizens started mentioning Sonam Kapoor as she worked with Dulquer in the film, The Zoya Factor. Later, Sonam also shared a cryptic note, taking a dig at Rana's statement on her. But to stop all the ongoing controversies, Rana clarified and apologised to Sonam and Dulquer for his statement.
