Bollywood's cutest couple, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt had tied the knot with each other on April 14, 2022. The paparazzi were stationed outside their respective residences constantly bringing the latest updates from the couple's big day. For the unversed, on April 13, 2022, Ranbir and Alia's pre-wedding ceremonies had taken place. The mehendi ceremony was hosted at Ranbir's residence. Many renowned celebrities like Karan Johar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Zoya Akhtar, Varun Dhawan, Ayan Mukerji, Arjun Kapoor, Anushka Ranjan, and others were reportedly present for the couple's pre-wedding festivities.
No official announcement was made about Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's wedding from their respective clans in the media, which was one of the biggest reasons why everyone was confused about the wedding date in the initial phase. However, on April 13, 2022, Ranbir's mother and veteran actress, Neetu Kapoor and his sister, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, had talked to the media and had confirmed that 'April 14, 2022', is the date when the couple will tie the marital knot.

Amid all the celebrations and happiness, in an interview with the Hindustan Times, Ranbir Kapoor's tauji and veteran actor, Randhir Kapoor opened up about his nephew's wedding with the exceptionally talented actress, Alia Bhatt. One of the eldest members of the Kapoor clan, Randhir shared that Ranbir and Alia's wedding is an extremely important and emotional day for the entire Kapoor parivar. Reflecting on the reason behind this, Randhir remembered his younger brother, late Rishi Kapoor and stated that each and every member of the Kapoor family is missing Rishi's presence on this big day. An emotional Randhir Kapoor said:
"To be honest, everyone is emotional today as well. Chintu should have been here. We miss him every day, but today we are missing him more. But life goes on. It is nice to see Ranbir and Alia are starting this new chapter."
On April 13, 2022, we had stumbled upon a video of the bride-to-be, Alia Bhatt's father and veteran filmmaker, Mahesh Bhatt and her step-sister, Pooja Bhatt leaving for Ranbir's residence, Vastu, where all the wedding festivities were held. In the video, Pooja had looked gorgeous and super-happy as she had flaunted her mehendi design to the paps gathered around her car. The doting step-sister had a flower design mehendi on her hand, and it had looked the prettiest.
According to the Bombay Times, a source close to the Kapoor and Bhatt families had reported that the pitr puja would be held on April 14, 2022, before Ranbir and Alia's haldi ceremony. For the uninitiated, the pitr puja is a holy ceremony in which a family remembers and pays their respect to their ancestors and elders, who have passed away. The source had also shared that Alia will be taking part in the Kapoor clan's pitr puja.

As per a report in ETimes, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt will be getting married on April 14, 2022, according to the traditional Punjabi rituals. The report had also claimed that Ranbir's baraat would be taken to the venue as the entire stretch of the road has been beautifully lit with fairy lights.
