Ranbir-Alia Will Take A Week Break For 'Chaunka Chardhana Rasam' And Other Post Wedding Rituals

Finally, the biggest wedding of the year is happening in Mumbai. Yes, Ranbir Kapoor, the hottest bachelor of B-Town is getting married to his ladylove, Alia Bhatt. Their wedding festivities have kickstarted with a special puja for the late actor, Rishi Kapoor. Soon, the Kapoors and the Bhatts hosted a mehendi ceremony with their close family in attendance. 

For the unversed, Alia had admitted her feelings for Ranbir on the celebrity chat show, Koffee with Karan. In the same show, she had accepted that she always wanted to marry Ranbir. And finally the duo are getting married. The Universe had listened to Alia's wish and had made the two fall in love with each other during the shoot of their first film together, Brahmastra.

Recently, a report in the Bombay Times revealed that the couple has taken a week-long break from their work as there are a lot of post-wedding ceremonies. The reports claim that as a Punjabi bahu, Alia will be having a lot of post-wedding rituals, which she needs to be part of and it includes chauka chardna rasam, 4-day long puja and Satya Narayan path. The report further stated that Neetu Kapoor is very particular about all the rituals and she is super excited to welcome Alia.

Another report in ETimes revealed that Ranbir and Alia will be getting married on April 14, 2022. The couple will get married according to the Punjabi rituals, and Ranbir's baraat will be taken to the ladkiwalas place. A source close to the couple revealed:

"As per the tradition, the Kapoor family members will take a baraat procession between the Krishna Raj Bungalow and Vastu House. The entire stretch of road between the two locations at Pali Hill has been beautifully decked up with lights hanging from the trees and it looks no less than a big festival in the evening. Moreover, the police have been deployed to block the stretch for about 15-20 minutes tomorrow to ensure the baraat goes smoothly."

A while ago, the paparazzi had clicked Alia Bhatt's father, Mahesh Bhatt leaving the mehendi venue. We had also spotted a glimpse of the dulhan's step-sister, Pooja Bhatt, who had flaunted her mehendi. The family was looking super happy and had even posed for the paps.

Now, all eyes are waiting to get a glimpse of the soon-to-be-married couple, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor!
