Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have become the most adored couple in Bollywood, and fans love their public appearances together. However, sometimes, when these overenthusiastic fans get to meet their idol couple, things can often get out of hand. Something similar happened when the couple was spotted at Sanjay Leela Bhansali's birthday bash.
Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor recently attended the filmmaker, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's birthday bash on February 24, 2025. The couple even posed for the paparazzi after they arrived at the venue, and we were left in awe of their custody sighting. However, now a video has surfaced on the internet that shows a fan grabbling Alia Bhatt's hand to take a selfie with her.
It was the actress' husband, Ranbir Kapoor, who jumped in to protect her. A video was posted on Instagram Threads, which showed Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor making their way towards the venue. However, out of nowhere, a fan came too close and grabbed Alia's hand while requesting to take a picture with her. Further in the video, Alia was seen trying to free herself from the fan's grip while trying to remain as composed and calm as possible; she simply waved as she continued walking with her husband, Ranbir.
The latter, on the other hand, was seen speaking to the fan in question, after which they left the actress' hand. Soon after, Ranbir pulled Alia close to him, and they walked inside. For the occasion, Alia wore a cream-coloured blouse with beige trousers, while Ranbir looked dapper in a blue shirt and white pants.
As soon as the video surfaced online, social media users criticised the fan's behaviour. A user penned, "People are mannerless." Another wrote, "People are crazy." A user, in a long note, addressed how the actress is a human and not someone's property. They further commended the actress for keeping her composure during the incident and stated:

"People should know how to behave. Alia is a celeb, Alia is a human, and Alia is not everybody’s property. Had it been someone else instead of her, would the person have had the guts to grab her hand? Alia was still decent enough to smile."
Ranbir Kapoor will soon be seen in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, where the actor will portray the role of the revered King of Ayodhya, 'Lord Ram'. The film also stars Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol, Yash, and Ravi Dubey and is scheduled to be released in two parts, with the first part set to be released in 2026. Alia Bhatt, on the other hand, will appear in the YRF spy universe film, Alpha alongside Sharvari. Ranbir and Alia are also set to share the screen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next film, Love & War, which also stars Vicky Kaushal in the lead role and is currently in production.
