On June 22, 2022, Alia Bhatt took to her IG handle and posted a picture of hers as she donned a T-shirt with 'Kapoor' written on it in Hindi. Along with the picture, Alia urged everyone to watch her hubby, Ranbir Kapoor's latest film Shamshera and also called it 'Kapoor Day'. Her caption can be read as:
"It's Kapoor Day! Shamshera in theatres now!!! Go watch."
Ranbir Kapoor’s much-awaited film Shamshera got released on June 22, 2022, and during the promotions of the film, the handsome actor revealed that his wife, Alia saw the film and loved it. Revealing how she poured her love on each and every character, Ranbir said:
“Alia ne kal film dekhi, usne bahut pyaar dia. She really loved the film. That's a very big tick mark in my life. Acha hai, ghar pe biwi khush hai toh mai khush hu.”
In an interview with FilmiBeat, Ranbir Kapoor was asked since a majority of names in his family start with the letter R, will his baby’s name also start with the same initials. Answering the question, Ranbir had shared that he and his wife, Alia have a list of names ready for their kid but they have not decided on any particular one. The soon-to-be papa also revealed that when he will hold his baby for the first time, whatever name will come to his mind looking at the baby’s face, he will name it accordingly.

In an interview with Indian Express, the soon-to-be-dad, Ranbir Kapoor had talked about balancing life after the birth of their child. Talking about how the couple is planning to share their responsibilities, Ranbir said that he does not want her to sacrifice her dreams because she will be having a baby. In his words:
“Alia is a very busy working star in this film industry and I don’t want her to sacrifice her dreams because she has a child. So we have to somewhere plan out a balanced life where we both can enjoy our personal life and our professional life, so it is one day at a time, one step at a time, but I have a lot of expectations from it.”
Ranbir Kapoor is seen in a double role in Shamshera, which also stars Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt in titular roles.
