Bollywood celebrities in India are always in the eyes of the media, and they capture their every moment. However, there are times when the limit gets crossed. On February 21, 2023, the paparazzi leaked Alia Bhatt's pictures when she was sitting and relaxing on the balcony of her house. Now, Ranbir Kapoor has opened up about the incident and revealed that legal action is being taken.
In an interview with Miss Malini, Ranbir Kapoor talked about the incident when the media invaded his wife, Alia Bhatt's privacy. Ranbir said it was totally uncalled as nobody has the right to shoot inside the house. He further revealed that they are dealing with it in legal ways. Opening about the same, he said:

"It was an invasion of privacy. You cannot shoot inside my house and anything can be happening inside my house, that is my home. It was totally uncalled for. We are going through the correct legal ways of dealing with it. I don't want to talk much about it, but it was something which was very ugly."

In the same interview, Ranbir further said that although they respect paparazzi, but the recent incident was uncalled for. Speaking about the same, Ranbir shared:
"We respect the paparazzi. I think the paparazzi is a part of our world. It's a symbiotic relationship 'they work with us, we work with them'. But stuff like this is something which pushes your back to the wall and you feel very ashamed of somebody doing something like that."
For the unversed, on February 21, 2023, Alia penned a lengthy note on her Instagram account for the media organisations who had taken her photos while she was sitting on her balcony. For the uninitiated, a news website posted Alia's photograph while she was relaxing at her home wearing a white-hued T-shirt. When Alia saw it, she bashed the media for invading her privacy.

Alia was perplexed by this behaviour of the media and even informed Mumbai Police about the incident. She also reposted the post on her IG story and penned a long note. In the note, she shared that it felt like someone was watching her while she was relaxing at her home. The Gangubai Kathiawadi actress, said it was a 'gross invasion' of someone's privacy. Her long note can be read as:
"Are you kidding me? I was at my house having a perfectly normal afternoon sitting in my living room when I felt someone was watching me. I looked up and saw two men on the terrace of my neighbouring building with a camera right at me. In what world is this okay and allowed? This is a gross invasion of someone's privacy. There's a line you just cannot cross and it is safe to say all lines were crossed today. @mumbaipolice."
