That is the younger version of Ranbir, played by the then-little boy, Yash Sehgal. Fast forward to now, Yash has grown up and looks simply dapper in his social media photos.
Yash Sehgal played the role of the younger 'Ved Vardhan Sahni' in the 2015 film, Tamasha. In the same year, Yash also played the role of young 'Johnny Balraj' in Ranbir Kapoor's starrer film, Bombay Velvet. Courtesy of Yash's then-cute looks and uncanny resemblance with Ranbir, he could easily portray the younger versions of the Brahmastra actor. Talking about Tamasha, the Imtiaz Ali directorial also starred Deepika Padukone in lead roles alongside Ranbir Kapoor. But fast forward to now, Yash is all grown up, and his social media posts are indeed unmissable.

On November 27, 2023, Tamasha completed eight glorious years. Thus, Yash took to his IG stories and reshared a video, once shared by him, that featured deleted scenes from the film. Atop it, he wrote, “8 Years already??!!!” Yash also shared a throwback picture with Imtiaz Ali, and the then-little boy looked simply adorable. Not only that, Yash also posted a photo with Ranbir Kapoor in another story, wherein the duo was seen posing for the camera while being decked up in black suits. Atop it, Yash expressed:
"Happy 8 years to Tamasha and Ved Vardhan Sahni. One of my personal favorite characters I've played to date."
