Randeep Hooda and Lin Laishram received a lot of appreciation for their traditional Manipuri wedding, which could be concluded as an intimate, simple and warming celebration. The duo hopped onto a lifetime of togetherness at Lin’s hometown, Imphal on November 26, 2023. While the glimpses from their wedding won millions of hearts, their fans couldn’t stop gushing over the fact that the duo came from extremely different cultural backgrounds and their union was respectful to both of their customs and traditions.
In an interaction with ETimes, Randeep Hooda retrospected the stages of his love story with wifey, Lin Laishram and revealed that they started to live together since the time of the Covid-19 pandemic. They gradually started to understand each other better and became a close unit. However, the final decision of marriage sprung as a common thought both had, about growing their family and having babies together. Spilling beans on it, Randeep remarked:
“It happened point by point. We started living together through Covid and that really brought us together. We had better understanding with each other. And then it happened very organically, we wanted to go to the next step, we wanted to have babies and grow our family. I have never been a very easy person to be around because I’m always demanding too much of myself, but when she comes around, everything changes.”

Moving further in the conversation, the couple was asked to share their first-hand experiences of being man and wife. To this, Randeep remarked that marriage has brought in him a sense of responsibility, and the fact that he has to be extra careful to take care of some other person in his life. However, Lin Laishram had a very different take on the same. The diva summarised her journey as being a wife to be nothing less than a lovely time, wherein she always feels comfortable. Talking about the kind of equation she shares with Randeep’s family, Lin said:
“It has been lovely for me. I love his family. I love talking to his dad, he is such a cool person. I always wanted to have a bigger family. I like what he said, to make my life comfortable. It gives you that confidence that somebody is holding your back. I never felt that ever. And that’s a very good feeling. One must marry to feel that I guess.”
In another segment of the interview, Randeep Hooda narrated how his family members, especially his parents were quite anxious about him getting married. Nevertheless, now that he is happily married and settled in life with his sweetheart, Lin, he couldn’t stop talking about how much his family had embraced his wife’s culture and traditions. Talking more about it, he said:
“My parents were just so happy that finally I’m getting married. They had started having doubts that I’ll never get married. I’m proud of my parents also. They took to their culture very well and there was a cultural exchange. The whole marriage rituals were very new for me.”
