Randhir Kapoor and his wife, Babita are one of the most-gossiped couples in Tinseltown. The duo had fallen in love while working in the 1971 film, Kal Aaj Aur Kal and thereafter, had tied the knot in the same year. However, post their wedding, Babita, who still had a flourishing film career ahead of her, decided to step down from the world of cinema, owing to the family traditions of her husband’s family of the Kapoor’s. The duo, who are proud parents of their daughters, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Karisma Kapoor had separated early on in the 1980s, after problems hit their marital paradise with Randhir’s declining film career. However, reports around March 2023 had suggested that nearly after three decades, the duo had reunited, and Babita had moved back to Randhir’s home.
While scrolling through our social media handle, we recently stumbled upon a glimpse of the once-estranged couple, Randhir Kapoor and Babita making a joint appearance together. The duo stepped out to pay a visit to the iconic pandal of the Lalbaugcha Raja in Mumbai on September 26, 2023, amidst the fervour of Ganesh Chaturthi that still lingers on in the state of Maharashtra. In the clip, Babita could be seen walking barefoot towards the pandal, while being assisted by two people. She looked beautiful in a yellow-hued floral printed top, teamed with white pants. On the other hand, Randhir Kapoor followed behind his wifey in a wheelchair, and looked handsome in a white and red-hued T-shirt.

Back on March 3, 2023, a report in ETimes had stated that after almost three decades of being separated, Randhir Kapoor and Babita had decided to give their marriage another chance and had reunited. Babita, who had earlier moved out of Randhir’s home in Bandra with her two daughters, had apparently shifted back with him. Moreover, the report also expressed the happiness of their daughters, Karisma and Kareena to see their parents live together once again under one roof.
During one of his earlier appearances in The Kapil Sharma Show, Randhir Kapoor had opened up about his love story with Babita and recalled how it all brewed in the first place. He mentioned that for the longest time, he was doing nothing but time pass with her, and it was only after his parents, Raj Kapoor and Krishna Raj Kapoor who stepped in and decided to fix their wedding. Recalling his father's reaction, he had mentioned:
“Main timepass kiye jaa raha tha. He was like, shaadi vaadi karne ka iraada hai ki nahi?”

In one of his earlier interviews with the Hindustan Times, Randhir Kapoor had talked about his failed marriage with his then-estranged wife, Babita and had shared how the latter didn’t approve of the kind of lifestyle he led. He revealed that Babita found him to be a terrible man, as he was completely submerged in drinking and would come home late as a result. In his words:
“She found that I was a terrible man who drank a lot and came home late, which was something she didn't like. And I didn't want to live the way she wanted, and she couldn't accept me as I am, though it was a love marriage. So it's okay. We had two lovely children to look after. She brought them up in the best way, and they have excelled in their career. What else could I have asked for as a father?"
