“Happiness is nothing more than good health and a bad memory”- how truly Alsatian polymath, Albert Schweitzer phrased his statement about the importance of health. Fortunate are those who are blessed with sound health, for everything can get back in shape and you can do away with a lack of anything, but health. Soon after Sonali Bendre shared the news of her high-grade metastatic cancer which had raised a hue and cry among masses and the media, a cryptic tweet from the legendary actor, Rishi Kapoor made us all wonder what must have happened to him. And thus, began prayers for his sound health. (Do Read: Mahesh Bhatt Calls Kangana Ranaut 'Bachchi' After Sister, Rangoli Said He Threw 'Chappal' At Kangana)

It was on September 29, 2018, when Rishi Kapoor had tweeted about his short absence from work and requested his well-wishers to not unnecessarily speculate. He had tweeted, "I am taking a short leave of absence from work to go to America for some medical treatment. I urge my well-wishers not to worry or unnecessarily speculate. It's been 45 years 'plus' of wear and tear at the movies. With your love and good wishes, I will be back soon!" This was the tweet:

Post Rishi Kapoor’s update about his health and treatment, Randhir Kapoor was bombarded with questions pertaining to his superstar brother’s health. He was then quoted as saying in an interview with The Economic Times, “We don't know yet what is the exact nature of his ailment. Rishi himself doesn't know what he's suffering from. He has not even started undergoing tests there; how can people speculate that he has cancer and that too, one that has escalated to advanced stage."

Randhir Kapoor had further added, “Let him undergo tests peacefully; whatever the results, we will let everyone know. He only reached America two-three days ago and so far, he was being prepared for the tests that he has to undergo. Depending on what the results are, his line of treatment, medication and other modalities will be decided upon. It’s not fair to speculate things just like that.”
