Bollywood actor, Ranjeet is known as one of the most fearsome villains in the history of Indian cinema. With his deadly expressions and exceptional acting skills, he has already etched an unforgettable place in millions of hearts. However, Ranjeet's onscreen lecherous persona also became a huge problem for him in real life. In an interview, he revealed how his daughter was misunderstood for this and what he had to do next. For the unversed, the actor is happily married to the love of his life, Aloka Bedi, and the couple is blessed with two kids, a daughter, Divyanka Bedi and a son, Chiranjeev.
In an interview with ETimes, Ranjeet revealed how people used to assume that his onscreen image also reflects on his real life. However, he mentioned how it used to cause immense embarrassment for him in public, especially when he was with his daughter, Divyanka Bedi. Recalling an incident, Ranjeet mentioned that when he went to a restaurant with Divyanka, people would look at him and comment, assuming he was going out with young girls. Ranjeet revealed:
"I used to visit my daughter when she was studying in Delhi. We would walk together in a restaurant and people would look at me and comment, 'How disgusting! He is going out with young girls.' There was a family sitting next to us and the husband kept shouting at them not to look at me. It was really making me uncomfortable."

Thus, to handle the situation, Ranjeet had to take things into his hands. When the waiter approached him, he loudly mentioned that he was with his daughter, Divyanka. Immediately after that, there was a change of expressions in those people, who were commenting on the actor and his daughter earlier. Revealing how his screen image has had a lasting impact on people, Ranjeet continued:
"So when the waiter came to take the food order, I said loudly, 'Arey beti lekar aayi hai, ussey poocho.' Immediately after that, the same husband comes and requests me that his wife wanted a picture with me. So I often did it to let people know that I don't go out with call girls. It was my screen image that often scared people."
Earlier, in an interview with Filmfare, Ranjeet also revealed that he had received tons of titillating messages from women even after his marriage to his wife, Aloka. Further, talking about his personal life and bad-boy image, the actor admitted that he is extremely loyal to Aloka. Moreover, he mentioned that he never went on the wrong path because he knew it would hurt his wife and kids. He was heard saying:
“I can say I’ve been a loyal husband. Marriage is based on trust. Every woman is possessive though she may not show it. After marriage, I have not been in bed with anyone. I’ve never two-timed even though there have been many chances. Women still approach me; I still receive missed calls and vulgar messages. I receive titillating messages, even from married women. But I see to it that I don’t hurt my wife and kids.”
