Ranveer Singh is counted amongst one of the most talented and super energetic actors of his generation. He has, time and again, shown his acting mettle in multiple blockbuster movies. However, the actor also often faces brutal social media criticism for his social media posts, statements in certain interviews, and many more such instances. Now, a video consisting of three clips of Ranveer from three different occasions collaged together surfaced on the internet, wherein he can be heard opening up about his 'screen idols'. However, netizens started reacting to it strongly and mentioned that the actor repeats his dialogues.

Ranveer Singh calls Johnny Depp 'one of his screen idols'

A Reddit user shared three different videos of Ranveer Singh, merged together in one, wherein he can be heard talking about Johnny Depp, Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgn as one of his 'screen idols' on different occasions. Initially, in the first clip, Ranveer was spotted hosting an award show, wherein he subtly took permission to add one line out of the script. Then, he pointed towards  American actor and musician, Johnny Depp while praising him. He can be heard saying:

"Off script for a moment here, wow, one of my screen idols is in the house, ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Johnny Depp."

Ranveer Singh mentions Shah Rukh Khan inspired him to be an actor

In another segment of the video, reportedly taken from one of his film's promotional events, Ranveer was heard talking about Shah Rukh Khan. The Gully Boy actor can be heard mentioning how SRK has inspired him to join the film business and make a name for himself. Ranveer further mentioned that Shah Rukh's contribution is one of his kind and indirectly calling him 'one of his screen idols', he mentioned:

"Aaj King Khan thori bane, itne saalon sei wo king hai. Aapne meri shobha bara di, mera naam unke saath leke, unko dekhkar toh humne kabhi socha ki hum bhi actor banenge. Humare idol hai. Unka jo contribution hai Hindi cinema mein, its one of kind."

Ranveer Singh mentioned Ajay Devgn is a 'legend'

Afterwards, in the last segment of the video, he can be seen promoting one of his films with his Simmba co-actress, Sara Ali Khan. During the conversation, the interviewer asked him, "How was the experience of working with Ajay Devgn? Concept of Simmba and Singham coming together?" To this, Ranveer explained how he was extremely delighted to work with Ajay Devgn and talked about the latter's amazing aura. Finally, calling him his 'screen idol', Ranveer shared:

"You know, he has an amazing aura. Wherever he goes, its like a, he owns that space. He has got an amazing aura. I love his body of work. Some of the greatest films that ever been made, Company, Zakham, Omkara, he is just... he is to me. He hasn't finished his career, he is already a legend. And he has been one of my screen idols."

Netizens' reactions to Ranveer Singh's video calling three different actors his 'screen idols'

The Reddit user captioned the video as "Why does ranveer copy pastes his speeches?" and also wrote, "He has said one of the one screen idols but is it really necessary to use the same phrases for everyone you meet just because you're over enthusiastic in pleasing them. I feel this behaviour is the reason why many fans have started to dislike him." Soon, many other netizens started commenting on the post, mentioning how Ranveer had blatantly copy-pasted his speeches repeatedly. However, many netizens also mentioned that every time Ranveer used the phrase 'one of his screen idols', thus anyone in this world can have more than one person to look up to and support him.
