Dhurandhar, the spy-action thriller directed by Aditya Dhar, has generated a lot of buzz with its gripping storyline, ensemble cast, and performances. The film starring Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi has hit the theatres on December 5, 2025. After the teaser release, there were speculations that the film is a biopic of the late Major Mohit Sharma. However, director and writer, Aditya Dhar has quashed the rumours. Now, Ranveer Singh has dropped a major hint about the sequel, Dhurandhar 2.

On December 6, 2025, Danish Pandor penned a lengthy, heartfelt note lauding his Dhurandhar co-star, Ranveer Singh. For the unversed, Danish played the role of 'Uzair Baloch' in the spy action thriller. However, it was the Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani actor’s reaction that gave the audience a major hint about the sequel, Dhurandhar 2. Earlier, senior actor, Rakesh Bedi hinted at the sequel. Ranveer’s comment on Danish’s appreciation post can be read as:

"Tu meri jaan hai! Everyone is loving you! Imagine what will happen when they experience part two! I’m overwhelmed with these words. Will hold this message close to my heart. And cherish every moment of our collaboration. Tu chha gaya mere rajjjja!!! Proud of you!! And thrilled for you!!!"

Danish Pandor's appreciation post for Ranveer Singh

On December 6, 2025, Danish took to his Instagram handle and shared a snap of him with Bollywood actor, Ranveer Singh. He recalled his first meeting with the Gully Boy actor. He lauded Ranveer Singh for his energy and generosity, calling it 'inspiring'. An excerpt from his note can be read as:

"I still remember the very first day we met during the narration, you walked in with that trademark energy, hugged me tight and said, 'Danniiisshh!! We’ll kill it!' That one moment itself told me what kind of journey this was going to be!! Your energy, your madness, your precision, your generosity as a co-actor was just inspiring… it all just rubs off on you. I had almost all my scenes with you, and to stand opposite someone so committed, so alive in every frame, was both surreal and incredibly motivating."

In his note, Danish mentioned that Ranveer encouraged him and also gave him space to perform. These things helped him portray better on-screen chemistry. Danish expressed his gratitude for getting the opportunity to work with Ranveer and concluded the note by thanking him.

Rakesh Bedi confirms the sequel to Dhurandhar

In a recent conversation with ITV Blink, Rakesh Bedi talked about his character in the film, Dhurandhar. For the unversed, the senior actor played the role of a politician in the spy action thriller. During the conversation, Rakesh shared that although he has less screentime in Dhurandhar, he will be seen playing a key role in Dhurandhar 2. He was quoted as saying:

"I am eagerly waiting for this film. Last year, in January, when the film was starting, Aditya offered me this role in Dhurandhar. In this film, I am playing a very different role, and that will be revealed in the second part. In Dhurandhar Part 1, I will be seen a little less, but I will be seen more in the second part."

When Aditya Dhar confirmed that Dhurandhar is not a biopic of late Major Mohit Sharma

Rumours were rife that Dhurandhar is a biopic of late Major Mohit Sharma. However, Aditya Dhar quashed the rumours through a tweet. He clearly mentioned that Dhurandhar is not based on the life of braveheart Major Mohit Sharma AC(P) SM. He mentioned that this is an official clarification. He concluded the tweet with a message that if, in the future, they will do a biopic on the late hero, they will do it with full consent and in complete consultation with the family. It is noteworthy to mention that this tweet was made after the late Major Mohit Sharma’s brother, Madhur Sharma, made a tweet demanding a confirmation from the director, whether it was the story of the hero.
