One of the most beautiful feelings in the world is to watch how your parents have grown over time. Looking at the old pictures of your parents from their bachelor days to their wedding and their life ahead, we realise how beautifully life unfolds. Our parents and their journey together form our perception of love and togetherness and their anniversary is thus a special day to be celebrated. Ranveer Singh is an energetic soul and it is obvious that he would not have let his parents’ anniversary go unnoticed. Ranveer Singh’s love story with Deepika Padukone is a world known tale. ‘Deepveer’ (as fondly called by their fans) had gotten married on November 14 and 15, 2018, and since then, we eagerly wait for sneak peeks from their married life. Their love story is one of our most favourite one, however, today is the day to celebrate Ranveer Singh’s parents' love story, as they have completed 40 years together.
Ranveer Singh took to his IG handle to share then-and-now pictures of his parents, Jagjit Singh Bhavnani and Anju Bhavnani as they complete 40 years together. The first picture is a monochrome one as his parents can be seen sitting and enjoying each other’s company. The second picture is from Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s one of the wedding receptions as they had stunningly posed for the shutterbugs. Along with the pictures, Ranveer wrote, “40 years of marriage! #purelove #happyanniversary.” Take a look:
In an interaction with Pinkvilla, Deepika Padukone had talked about the one advice that her parents and in-laws had given them. Talking about the advice, Deepika had revealed, “It's fun. Marriage is a lot of fun, at least for now. When I say this to his parents or my parents, they say, 'Wait for 35 years, you will know'. Maybe we will figure out 35 years later what it will be like then. We don't want to assume that it's going to be a certain way. For now, it's great and fun."

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh had tied the knot on November 14-15, 2018 in Italy as per Konkani and Punjabi-Sindhi rituals. In an interview with the Filmfare magazine, Deepika had spoken about her equation with Ranveer’s family and had said, “It’s interesting. For his father I’m like a daughter. But for his mom, I’m like a friend, a beti also. I can tell her my deepest darkest secrets. It’s stupid to explain because I can’t even put it into words. There’s nothing that I have to keep from them. They are like my parents now, they are my family. Uncle is emotional, he breaks down easily. Mum’s an absolute chiller. Like she will party with the youngsters till eight in the morning."
Ranveer and Deepika’s wedding was an intimate affair and the details of their wedding were tightly secured. However, hair stylist, Nitasha Gaurav had revealed the first words Ranveer Singh's father, Jagjit Singh Bhavnani had said to his bahu, Deepika Padukone. Sharing a picture from the wedding, Nitasha had captioned them as the words of Ranveer’s father. She had written, "In the words of Mr Bhavnani Sr today, ‘Ye Dewani to Bhavnani ho gayi’" atop it. Coming back to Deepika and Ranveer's love story, in an interview with the Open Magazine, Deepika had talked about the same. She had shared, “When we started dating six years ago, I was more successful than him, busier than him, making more money. I’ve never come across a man who is so comfortable with my success and the attention I was getting. He was supportive and encouraging of my career and it wasn’t superficial support. That doesn’t happen with many men. He really cared, and I don’t think our relationship would have lasted if not for how he inherently felt about my world and how much he respected it. I did not have to make compromises to keep my man happy and that was the best thing about him."
