Raqesh Bapat was one of the most popular contestants in Bigg Boss OTT and was often the talk of the town for his connection with actress, Shamita Shetty, on the show. Moreover, the duo had admitted that they were more than just friends and had confessed their feelings for each other on the show.
Every now and then, the housemates had attacked Raqesh for not expressing his views and doing things in Shamita’s way, on the reality show. Actress Kashmera Shah had called him a 'henpecked husband' for not taking a stand for Shamita in the Bigg Boss house. To which, Raqesh's ex-wife, Ridhi Dogra had come forward to defend him and had taken a dig at Kashmera for her remark.

And now, when Raqesh is out of the Bigg Boss house, he also slammed Kashmera for her ‘henpecked husband’ comment. Talking about the same, in an interview with PeepingMoon, the actor said, "I would say I'm not henpecked, I'm a caring husband because I always give my woman the space, the treatment, the respect and I don't cross that. And I treat my woman like a queen and that's what a man should do because there's love and a lot of caring so somewhere I like to treat my people special and it doesn't make you henpecked."
Talking further about his nature, the actor said that he ignored certain things and did certain things for the happiness of others. Talking about the same, Raqesh shared, "You bow down to certain levels just because you want to give them that love so that is not being henpecked. I've always been like this and it doesn't make me weak. It's not about not taking a stand, it's just that I ignore certain things and I do certain things for the person's happiness. Henpecked and all are just names, I know what I am."

Raqesh added that he has always been a quiet person and avoids making instant judgments. The actor said, "I have always been someone who did not ‘scream and shout’ to be heard and did not see a need for me to change that just for the sake of the show."
However, talking about his ex-wife, Ridhi Dogra defending him, while he was on the show, Raqesh said, "She messaged me after I came out saying 'you played well and I supported you all the time'. I knew she'd support me and I spoke to her and we discussed a lot of things about the house. She loved the way I played it, she said it with full respect."
For the unversed, Raqesh had tied the knot with Ridhi Dogra in 2011. However, after seven years of marriage, the duo had separated in 2019.
