A while back, we shared with you an unseen throwback picture of Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai from one of their primitive ‘romantic days’. In the image, the now estranged lovebirds were in their candid best, happily posing for the camera. While Salman had looked rapper in his lean-built white t-shirt frame, Aishwarya looked glamorous as usual, in a green kurta. Here is the picture that we are talking about:
And now, we came across another picture of once couple, Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai, happily posing for the camera. Salman had worn a blue shirt which he had teamed with grey pants and Aishwarya, as usual, was looking all glamorous in a black dress which had white borders, hair tied up in a bun. Amazing, right? In an explosive throwback interview with The Times of India, Aishwarya had revealed many shocking reasons behind her breakup with Salman. She had shared, “Salman and I broke up last March, but he isn't able to come to terms with it. After we broke up, he would call me and talk rubbish. He also suspected me of having affairs with my co-stars. I was linked up with everyone, from Abhishek Bachchan to Shah Rukh Khan. There were times when Salman got physical with me, luckily without leaving any marks. And I would go to work as if nothing had happened.”
During the #MeToo movement, a video of a throwback interview of the Sultan star had emerged, wherein, when asked by a journalist, if Salman has ever hit a woman, he had replied, “Yeah, now that woman has said that I have. I mean there was a journalist Prabhu Chawla who asked me this long time ago, so I just banged the table he got startled, the table really broke. I mean, if I hit somebody, it's obviously a fight, I am going to be angry. I am going to whack and give it my best shot. I don't think she would've survived it." Speaking about his aggressive attitude and violent nature, the former Miss World had stated, “I stood by him enduring his alcoholic misbehavior in its worst phases and in turn, I was at the receiving end of his abuse (verbal, physical and emotional), infidelity and indignity. That is why like any other self-respecting woman I ended my relationship with him.” She had also very straightforwardly revealed that Salman had indirectly once confessed cheating on her. The Devdas star had quipped, “He indirectly confessed to me one day.”
Confessing his love for Aishwarya, Salman had once shared in an interview, “I love [Aishwarya]. I am not hounding her. It's not a teenage obsession that I feel for her — it's pure love. She's such a traditional Hindustani girl at the bottom of her heart. The fact that she respects her parents so much makes me admire her more.”
Speaking about family and parents, the Maine Pyar Kiya fame star had stated back then, “Her parents are very nice people. They are orthodox like my family. They have heard about my past affairs and they didn't like me in the life of their daughter. It is my fault, not theirs. I should have understood it earlier. They never stopped me from meeting with Aishwarya despite the fact that I treated them badly. Aishwarya did not like my behavior towards them just as I would not appreciate anybody misbehaving with my father. Aishwarya's father is completely justified in complaining against me.
