Raveena Tandon Opens Up About Her Bond With Ex-BF, Akshay Kumar And Shilpa Shetty, 'We've Moved On'

Raveena Tandon is one of the most beautiful and graceful Bollywood actresses. During the 1990s, she made headlines for her much-publicised relationship with Akshay Kumar. The two had allegedly got engaged; however they parted ways when reports claimed that Akshay and Shilpa started seeing each other. Now, after decades, the actress has opened up about her equation with Akshay and Shilpa.

Recently, Raveena Tandon sat down for a candid conversation with Zoom podcast, during which he revisited her affair with Akshay Kumar and shared her experience of working with him on their upcoming film, Welcome To The Jungle. Talking about Akshay and their breakup due to Shilpa’s involvement, Raveena shared that they have all moved on and are happy in their lives. She was quoted as saying:

"I think we have all become friends. See, we all were young. We are all in the same industry. Who has not gone through all those things? Whose not gone through link-ups, break-ups, relationships, whose not? Today Akshay and I are friends, Shilpa and I are friends. We're all friends. We've moved on."

Further, Raveena Tandon explained that she recently completed the shooting of Welcome 3 and the two were very friendly on the sets of the film. She also stated that people should be mature enough to move on. Raveena also explained that she, Akshay and Shilpa are happy for each other. In her words:

"We're so happy for our families, we're so happy for our children. Akshay and I have just done Welcome 3 and we've enjoyed our whole team, we have laughed through the film, such a funny film. We've really thoroughly enjoyed working together again. Listen, you have to grow up, mature. We're all happy for each other. We were always very good friends, Akki and me. Always very good friends."

For those who do not know, Raveena and Akshay were one of the most talked-about pairs in the 1990s. The duo had done multiple films, and their on-screen chemistry was loved by many. Eventually, fans started shipping them and sensed an off-screen romance. Eventually, multiple magazines reported that the two were in a serious relationship. A few reports also claimed that the duo had exchanged rings.

However, by the late 1990s, reports claimed that the couple had broken up. At the same time, Akshay was being linked to other actresses, which further fuelled breakup rumours. Later, things worsened when Akshay was linked to Shilpa Shetty. Several reports claimed that Shilpa's growing closeness with Akshay was the reason behind his breakup with Raveena. Years later, in an interview, Raveena shared:

"We broke up 25–30 years ago, and it still pops up. Once I had moved out of his life, I was already dating someone else, and he had moved on and was dating someone else. So where will jealousy even come from? I don’t understand why people can’t move on when we already have. One broken engagement is still stuck to my head — I don’t know why."
