Raveena Tandon Had Rules For Anil Thadani Before Getting Married To Him, 'If Someone Had To..'

It was never love at first sight for Raveena Tandon and her husband, Anil Thadani. However, it did not take long for Anil to propose to his lady love, who had acted in the movie, Stump produced by him. It is said that Anil knew about Raveena's affairs but she and Anil were destined to be together. However, do you know that Raveena had some set rules for Anil, before he got the chance to make her his wife?

Raveena Tandon made Anil Thadani agree to a few agreements

Raveena was always a rising star. She had once revealed in an interview that went viral about the conditions she had set before the person marrying her. The actress was only 21 and had adopted two daughters- Pooja and Chhaya. It was on February 22, 2004, that she got married to Anil. Raveena had shared her mantra with Tweak India which was:

"If someone had to love me, they had to love me. I come as a package deal – they have to love me, my girls, my dogs and my family."

Raveena also shared that when one has made up their mind, and there's a will, of course, one needs to have a certain stable backing from the family. She also revealed that there were moments when people always thought that she was taking on excess baggage because she was not settled well yet.

When Raveena Tandon was told her adopted children were produced out of wedlock

Raveena faced immense criticism when she adopted Pooja and Chaya. In 1995, she was a single mother, and her kids were eleven and eight years old, respectively. During an earlier interview with Zoom, Raveena had shared that whenever she did something, there would always be these trolls or someone would make some sexist remark, trying to create controversies out of nothing. Raveena recollected:

"I remember one article even saying that these must be her (Raveena’s) hidden children, which she must have had out of wedlock. When I was 21, they were eight and 11. So, when did I have them? When I was 11 or 12?"

When Anil Thadani shared he was not aware of Raveena Tandon's stardom

Anil, in an interview with Filmfare, said he and Raveena were business acquaintances, so the question of love at first sight didn’t arise. But one thing led to another and quickly. So it didn’t take him long to propose to her. Their courtship period didn’t last longer than five months. They were engaged for two months before marrying. However, do you know for Anil, knowing that  Raveena is a star was quite intimidating? In his words:

"The first time it really struck me was way before anything had materialised between us. We went out for dinner, suddenly I turned around and saw there was a crowd waiting outside the restaurant. This was 11pm at night. They were just waiting to click pictures and wanting to see her. I didn’t foresee the situation, which is why it left me flustered."
