Raveena Tandon is one of the most talented actresses of her time. She made her acting debut with the film, Patthar Ke Phool, and after that, she went on to do several movies, that brought her fame. During that time, reports were rife that the actresses weren't on cordial terms and there used to be several catfights. It was also reported that Raveena and Karisma once had a showdown at an airport. And recently, Raveena reacted to the same.
Talking to Filmfare, Raveena Tandon shared that she is still good friends with her contemporaries like Pooja Bhatt, Juhi Chawla, Madhuri Dixit, and Shilpa Shetty, among others. She shared that there are a few actresses who were insecure back then and now as well. Raveena added that those insecure people were not able to keep the bond, but there were no catfights at all. "It’s that camaraderie that is still very much prevalent, but there are a few who were insecure then and are insecure now also, who have not been able to keep those bonds. But we still meet socially. But when you say catfights, there were never really catfights.”

In the same interview, Raveena Tandon was asked about the reports about her having a showdown with Karisma Kapoor at an airport. To this, the actress revealed that it was not a catfight and rather it might be a discussion about burying the hatchet. She further mentioned that all such reports have been spiced up and hyped, and there was no social media back then, which was why it became tough to clarify all these. Ranveena can be quoted as saying:
"That was never a catfight. I beg to differ. There was never a catfight. There might be a discussion, there night be a ‘why are you doing this, and what is the need to do this, and let’s bridge this gap’ but there was never a catfight. It was all hyped and of course, mirch masala and everything. In those days, there was no social media. You couldn’t really reach out and how much do you really clarify?”
Going forward in the interview, Raveena Tandon mentioned that, actually, the male actors used to fight, not the women, so why wouldn't people call them out? Raveena clarified all the claims and shared that there used to be a discussion about mending things, but some people didn't want the same, which is why it remained tagged as a 'catfight'. Raveena shared:
"Men used to actually have fistfights in those days, so what would you call them? Women didn’t. Maximum, we would have a discussion like, ‘What is wrong? Let’s bury the hatchet.’ But some people didn’t want to, so it became a catfight. There were no catfights. That was always overhyped and masala and something that we learnt to take in our stride. Ki public ko chahiye masala, jaane do.”
