While conversing with Barkha Dutt for Mojo Story, Raveena stated that there's no big deal about breaking up with someone, as one has to understand that two people may not be good partners, but they can be good friends. The actress stated that she was fine, and the thing that mattered to her the most was what her close ones thought about the same. Sharing that after a point of time, she didn't care about people's opinions, Raveena added:
"Yes, what’s the big deal? So many relationships break up, people move on, you remain friends… You realise we were not good as partners but we’re good as friends. So what’s the big deal? I don’t understand. I was absolutely fine. The bigger fuss was made in the media, because in those days, they wanted to sell their magazines. But personally, amongst us, between my friends, and what my family thought mattered to me. Beyond a certain point, what people thought did not matter to me.”
Going further in the interview, Raveena Tandon addressed the rumours about her suicide attempt. She agreed that it was the rumours regarding her suicide attempt and her breakup that led her to adopt her two daughters. The actress also mentioned how when she was only 21 years old, she adopted her two daughters, Pooja and Chaya. Raveena mentioned that she wanted to give these two kids a better life. The actress also added how her parents helped her raise her two adopted daughters and, eventually, her biological daughters, Rasha and Ranbirvardhan. Raveena shared:
"There was absolutely no control on the kind of stories that would go around. So, the day I got my two girls home… They were not getting the life that they deserved, I felt, and this was something that was happening closer to home, and I decided to take charge. The day I turned 21 I brought them in. I couldn’t watch it unfold in front of me and not do anything. That is how I’ve always been, sticking my nose into places where it doesn’t belong.”
