The Mast Mast girl of Bollywood, Raveena Tandon swooned our hearts with her sultry looks and thumkas in the 90s. Apart from her successful career in Bollywood, her linkup rumours often hit the headlines. And one of the most controversial relationships of her life was with actor, Akshay Kumar, with whom she even got engaged.
When Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon broke their engagement, it came as a shocker for their fans. And since then, whenever Raveena’s name comes into the limelight, her broken engagement with Akshay always pops up. During a recent podcast, Raveena talked about the same for the first time and said:
“It comes up, and it comes up like there’s a war between everyone whom he’s involved with. Hello, once I had moved out of his life, I was already dating someone else, and he was already dating someone else, so kahan se jealousy ayegi .”

In the same interview, Raveena also revealed that she even forgot the day and date of her engagement with Akshay as she chose not to read anything about it. She also shared that the two of them are cordial and still bump into each other socially. In her words:
“We were a hit pair, during Mohra, and even now, when we bump into each other socially, we all meet, we all chat. Everyone moves on. Girls have been changing their boyfriends every week in colleges, but one engagement that has broken is still stuck to my head, I don’t know why. Everyone moves on, people have divorces, they move on, what’s the big deal.”
It was in 1994, on the sets of Mohra, when Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon met, and their love life had taken a turn. His affair with Raveena had reached the stage of engagement, however, things didn’t work out for them, and the duo broke their engagement.

In a 1999 interview with the Stardust, Raveena had cleared the air on her engagement and why Akshay had, back then, kept himself tight-lipped about the same. According to her, Akshay was a rising star and had a huge female fan following. He was scared that he might lose out on his female fans and his Bollywood career might come to a standstill if the news of his engagement was leaked. After their breakup, Akshay got married to actress, Twinkle Khanna and Raveena tied the knot with businessman, Anil Thadani.
On the work front, Raveena was last seen in the film, K.G.F: Chapter 2.
