The Jamai Raja holds a special place in the heart of his in-laws and the happiness of the daughter of the family knows no bounds when she realises that the love of her life has bonded so well with her clan. Just as much important it is for the girl to win over the heart of her in-laws, it is equally important for the boy to gel with his ladylove’s family. How beautifully TV actor, Ravi Dubey has become a part of his wife, Sargun Mehta’s family and now, is not only the favourite Jamai Raja of television but off-screen too! It was back in 2006 when Ravi Dubey, born in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh and brought up in Delhi, had made his television debut with the serial, Stree... Teri Kahaani and had gained stardom with the 2010 show, Saas Bina Sasural. Then came his serial, Jamai Raja in 2014 which had established him as one of the leading television actors. It was his fourth show, 12/24 Karol Bagh which had marked a new beginning for him on the personal front as he had found his soulmate, Sargun Mehta on the show. In 2013, Sargun and Ravi had tied the knot and since then, they have been enjoying their marital bliss.

Time and again, through social media, Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta have given glimpses of how the Mehta family dotes on their Jamai Raja. In 2019, Ravi had posted a family picture with Sargun and her parents in the frame from her brother, Pulkit Mehta’s wedding festivities. He had posted the picture to wish his parents-in-law on their anniversary. He had captioned it as "Happy anniversary mumma papa... love u both so much always." The smile on everyone's faces was enough to prove what a happy family they all make! To mark their wedding anniversary this year, Ravi posted the same picture and wrote, “Happy anniversary mumma papa love you to the moon and back” in the caption.
In a 2014 interview with the PTI, Ravi Dubey, who was set to make his comeback back then with Jamai Raja, had revealed how is he as a son-in-law. Speaking on his comeback, Ravi had said, “I was doing reality shows in these two years but decided to make a comeback with ‘Jamai Raja’ as I liked the concept. I relate to the subject well. I am a responsible son-in-law in real life too and at the same time meticulous when it comes to relationships.” Ravi had hoped that the notions attached to a son-in-law, who lives with his wife’s parents, to change with the show. He had continued, “I personally disagree to the pre-conceived notions that a son-in-law should be given special attention by the bride’s family members. The show will also eradicate such stigmas in society because here he is the king of hearts. Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta had gotten married on December 07, 2013 and ever since then, their fans have been looking forward to ‘an announcement’ from the couple as they move towards the ‘next phase’ in their lives. In a 2019 interview with BollywoodLife, Ravi had spoken about family planning and was quoted as saying, “No such plans at all. I think we are each other’s baby Dubey and baby Mehta. Since the beginning, ‘Choti and Badi,’ next January our courtship and marriage combined, I will complete ten years of knowing Sargun.”

It has been more than a decade of their relationship, and one look at Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta's social media feeds will make you wonder how they keep the romance in their relationship alive like a newbie couple in love! Answering that question, in an interview with IBTimes, Ravi had revealed his secret to a long-lasting relationship. Speaking about the checklist in a relationship, Ravi had said, "The intention is not to last long. The intention is to stay eternal. In society, there are a lot of checkboxes and parameters for a relationship, marriage ka sanity and marriage ko undermine kar diya hai (the society has taken the sanity of the relationship away). If the checkbox aren't met they say the relationship is toxic and beyond repair. When two different people come together and form a relationship they have a different mindset and are bound to think differently. Same thinking hoti toh bhai behen hote na, pati patni nahi hote."
