Ready Or Not 2: Here I Come Trailer Screams World Domination As Samara, Kathryn Hide For Their Life

Cinephiles are already excited for 2026 as makers announce upcoming releases. Adding to the movie lovers' joy, directors, Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tayler Gillett have now released the sequel to their 2019 horror-comedy, Ready or Not, and fans couldn't be any more ecstatic. The makers have recently dropped the trailer for the upcoming sequel, and here's everything you need to know about it.

Ready or Not 2: Here I Come is a run to save lives

While Samara Weaving's 'Grace' barely survived her wedding night in Ready or Not (2019), it appears the honeymoon is over as she returns in the hotly anticipated sequel. The makers of the much-loved horror-comedy, Searchlight Pictures, unveiled the first official trailer for Radio Silence's Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, and it is everything fans didn't know they needed. 

Ready or Not 2: Here I Come picks up immediately after 'Grace' essayed by Samara Weaving survived the bloody take on the children's game at the end of the 2019 film. The trailer was released on December 3, 2025 (ET) and showed how 'Grace' soon discovers that she's only reached another level of the nightmare-ish game. However, the twist? This time, 'Grace' will have to survive the game with her estranged sister, 'Faith', portrayed by Kathryn Newton, who must now fight for the High Seat of the Council, which controls the world.

What happens after 'Grace' killed her groom in Ready or Not?

Ready or Not ended with 'Grace' killing her groom and the rest of the 'Le Domas' family. Now, with one evil down, 'Grace' has to face off against a new flock of wealthy killers, played by Elijah Wood, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Shawn Hatosy, Néstor Carbonell, Kevin Durand, Olivia Cheng, and David Cronenberg. In the trailer, Elijah's character can be seen confronting 'Grace'.

The trailer keeps the essence of Ready or Not while adding an eerie sense of discomfort. Elijah Wood plays the role of a lawyer in the film. However, his name has not been revealed so far. During the trailer, we get to see him asking 'Grace' about the death of 'Le Domas' family in the 2019 horror-comedy. He warned her that she had triggered a new game now and stated:

"You've caused quite a stir, Mrs. Le Domas. You married into that family; now they're dead. What you didn't know is that this goes far beyond them. By surviving Hide-and-Seek, you've triggered a new game, this time against the High Council Families, double or nothing. This part will be familiar; they will try to kill you."

The American horror comedy marks the return of Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett as directors. Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy have written Ready or Not 2: Here I Come. While it marks the return of Samara Weaving as 'Grace MacCaullay', the film also features new faces. The makers had announced the sequel during the October 2024 special screening of Ready or Not. Searchlight Pictures announced that the film was in development with Radio Silence Productions. Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, wrapped filming in June 2025. The film will premiere in theaters on April 10, 2026.
