Karan Johar’s directorial comeback film, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, has already entered the 10 crores mark in its third weekend from its release. The film is based on a Punjabi-Bengali couple, popularly played by Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles. Apart from them, we have seen Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, Jaya Bachchan, and Churni Ganguly among others in eminent characters of this film. The film's plot circles around a flamboyant Punjabi 'Rocky' and an intellectual Bengali 'Rani', who fell head-over-heels for each other. And despite facing opposition, the duo decided to live with each other's families for three months before getting married. This then transfers into a lovely story of bridging the cultural differences between their traditions.
Now, a real-life Punjabi-Bengali couple is going viral on X (formerly known as Twitter), correlating their love story with the film, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. The real-life couple also set an example by defying their diverse backgrounds to build a lasting relationship. Sharing a picture from his old archives, real-life 'Rocky' aka Rocky, penned down some points from his marital journey despite cultural differences with his wife-cum-the real-life 'Rani' aka Rupali. He mentioned that the real-life Rocky is an indomitable debater, while Rupali is a determined decision-maker.

Soon after getting heavily praised for the first post, Rocky (The X user, whose username reads Injesters) tweeted once again, talking about the conquered challenges in their marital journey despite their differences. The subsequent post, marked the second part of their love story, which offered stunning photos of the duo spanning their 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s. The real-life Rocky captioned it as:
“Rocky and Rupali Ki prem kahani part II. At 25/35/45 and 50. Many years and many hairstyles later this is where we now stand. Next year is our 30th wedding anniversary year. And 7 for going out before marriage, thereby 37 years. Phew!”

As soon as the real-life Rocky shared the two posts talking about his love story, netizens reacted to it hugely. While most praised the duo for fighting all the odds to be with each other, many also congratulated them for their 37 years of togetherness. One user wrote, "Waah ji waah,an ideal love story jise kafi bharatiya jina chahte hai...kuch safal hote hai, kuch parivar,samaj se ladhne me haar jaate hai.... More and more love to you guys."
