Kaykay Menon's 'Special Ops 2' Release Gets Postponed By A Week, Fans Disappointed But Excited

The popular spy thriller series, Special Ops is all set to return with its second season, after winning a lot of hearts with the first season for its story and powerful performances of actors. The show is directed by Neeraj Pandey and it became one of the most loved web-series in India when it first premiered in 2020. The first season sparked a lot of excitement among fans and amidst that excitement, the makers have announced that the release of the much-awaited second season is postponed by a week. 

Release of Special Ops Season 2 postponed by a week

The second season of Special Ops is one of the most awaited seasons of any show. Fans of the show have been waiting for it since long and amid the excitement, the release of Special Ops has been postponed by a week. Originally, the show was set to release on July 11, 2025, but the highly awaited season will release on July 18, 2025, on JioHotstar. The makers shared a post on Instagram in which they announced the new release date. The post featured Kaykay Menon as the iconic 'Himmat Singh'. The caption was: 

"Himmat and his squad are ready and it’s going to be worth all the wait!! #HotstarSpecials #SpecialOps2, all episodes streaming from July 18, only on #JioHotstar."

Special Ops 2 will continue to follow the story of 'Himmat Singh', a dedicated intelligence officer who is called to stop a new threat, but this time of cyber terrorism. The show stars talented actors like Kaykay Menon, Karan Tacker, Saiyami Kher, Vinay Pathak, Muzammil Ibrahim, Meher Vij, Prakash Raj, Tota Roy Choudhury, Dalip Tahil and Gautami Kapoor. In the new season, fans can expect more intense challenges, more action and 'Himmat's sharp mind.

The success of Special Ops Season 1 left fans excited and hungry for more. The interesting plotline, clever twist and Kaykay Menon's amazing performance as 'Himmat Singh' made it one of India's most loved spy thrillers.
