Rhea Chakraborty Did A 'Naagin Dance' In Jail After Getting Bailed In Sushant Singh Rajput Case

Rhea Chakraborty has seen an extremely turbulent time when the entire nation was against her, and calling her out, following the sudden demise of Sushant Singh Rajput. It was followed by her and her brother, Showik Chakraborty. After which, she fought a long battle to prove her innocence. Recently, Rhea revealed her reaction after getting bail.

Rhea Chakraborty revealed doing a naagin dance in jail

Recently, Rhea Chakraborty attended an event by NDTV, and reflected on her days in jail after a public outrage to imprison her, how her family dealt with it, and the aftermath of getting a clean chit in the matter. Rhea revealed that she spent 28 days in jail, and the only people who comforted her were her fellow inmates. 

Rhea revealed that when she got the news of her bail from jail, she was the happiest, and people in there asked her to dance. So, she surprised them by performing naagin dance on the day of her bail. She stated that she knew that she might never meet them. Hence, it was her way of giving them happiness. She stated that those women were on trial and most of them were innocent. Recalling the memory, Rhea said:

"People asked me to dance for them. I did naagin dance on the day of my bail. I thought that we never know when I’ll meet them next and if I can give them a moment of happiness, then why not? Most of those women are innocent and hopeless in such under-trial prisons."

Rhea Chakraborty's life after being in jail

Rhea revealed that the case left an unerasable mark on her and her entire family. Even when the CBI cleared her of all the allegations and charges, she was unable to celebrate the moment. Rhea stated that she always knew that she had not done anything wrong, but she didn't feel happy. She was just happy for her family and their reputation. However, they stopped being the carefree family they used to be, and it left a significant mark on their life. She confessed:

"People said he did not go because of you. I always knew I hadn’t done anything. But even when the clean chit came, I couldn’t feel happy. I was only happy for my parents and their reputation. But, we were no longer the same carefree family, it can’t come back. That moment altered all of us completely, for our entire life."

Rhea talked about Sushant's death and how she also suffered

In the same interaction, Rhea revealed that while everyone else was grieving Sushant Singh Rajput's untimely death, they forgot that someone who was the closest to him also suffered the biggest loss. She stated that she was never given the space to mourn her then-boyfriend's death. She said:

"Everyone thought that only they were grieving, and forgot that the person who was the closest to him suffered the biggest loss."

On June 14, 2020, Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai apartment. He was 34, and it was followed by a series of petitions and pleas by his fans to know how he died. However, Rhea Chakraborty got embroiled in the storm due to media scrutiny. Sushant's family lodged a complaint against Rhea, accusing her of abetment of suicide. She and her brother, Showik also questioned ED over allegations of money laundering. After CBI took over the case, NCB (Narcotics Control Bureau) arrested her and her brother, claiming that they supplied marijuana to Sushant Singh Rajput.
