Richa Chadha captivated millions of hearts with her role of ‘Lajjo’ in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. Despite the short duration of her role, she left a long-lasting effect on viewers' minds. But now, the 'Bholi Punjaban' of the Fukrey franchise revealed how an old agent once asked her to step back from the film, Masaan. Moreover, she also called out the person who had given her such advice.
Recently, Richa Chadha took to her IG handle and shared a picture of a busy road reportedly taken through the glass panes of her car. Along with it, she penned a note to call out an old agent who once gave her a piece of trash advice. Richa mentioned that she met that old agent recently at a movie screening event and talked about his looks. She even called him a looser and wrote:
"That night, I went for a movie screening. Saw a thieving ex-agent, who used to rep(resent) me when I first started. He looked more pregnant than me...like an artery might burst if he walked even a bit more, was completely grey with stunning alopecia patches, badly dressed, with no taste, looked like patches of luxury logos had been force-stapled on him by his mom. But it's not about his beauty LOL. He looked uncomfortable where he stood. Like a loser."

On the same note, Richa also mentioned that her ex-agent had asked her not to work on the film, Masaan, co-starring Vicky Kaushal, Shweta Tripathi and many others. According to the ex-agent, the 2015 released film, directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, based on the taboos in society related to pre-marital sexual relations and casteism, was 'de-glam'. Thus calling out the ex-agent, Richa continued:
"Moral: Theives, who want to murder a goose that lays gold eggs so that they can eat a good roast one night, only eat well that night. PS: this man had advised me to do some soft-core trash instead of Masaan once. Because Masaan was 'de-glam'. Nice seeing you ole man, was wondering who you were borrowing from currently. Lol."
Soon, Richa's IG story was reshared by a social media user on the discussion platform, Reddit and netizens started reacting to it. A huge section of Richa's fans supported her and mentioned that she indeed has the courage to call out such people in film industry. However, another section of social media users mentioned that although Richa did it right by calling out the ex-agent, her language for body-shaming the person was not good.

Earlier, in an interview with PTI, Richa Chadha was asked about her views on having such a short role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s multi-starrer series, Heeramandi. To this, the actress revealed that she was initially quite apprehensive about it, and even felt it was risky since the audience might forget her role after watching the eight-episode long series. However, she felt happy when finally everything was paid off well. She said:
“The memories were many and so was the risk, and it all paid off. It's so small and there's always a risk that it'll get lost in the eight episodes with all the actors that are there. A big star cast and other people are also getting a lot of love. So for that reason, I was afraid a little bit that it might get lost, but I'm really glad it hasn't.”
