For the unversed, Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal had met for the first time on the sets of their film, Fukrey and had become good friends. On October 11, 2021, Richa Chadha took to her Twitter handle and gave a befitting reply to a social media user who made fun of her future marriage with her longtime actor-boyfriend, Ali Fazal. The troll not only irked the actress by asking her when she and Ali were going to get divorced but also predicted that their marriage wouldn't last long, just like Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao. The troll wrote in Devanagiri and his tweet can be read as “Tumhara talaaq kab ho raha hain batao. Kyu ki tumhari shadi Aamir Khan ki tarah zada din nahi tikne wali.”

On February 26, 2021, Richa Chadha had taken to her Instagram stories and had posted a quote shared by Audrey Kitching, promoting a relationship with no gender roles.
