Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives has been grabbing the headlines off lately. Moreover, Maheep Kapoor also had a fair share of traction on her part with her stint. Talking about Maheep, she kickstarted in the showbiz back in 2022 with the Netflix special Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives. The show is now in its third season and also features socialites from Delhi, Kalyani Saha, Shalini Passi, and Riddhima Kapoor. Well, in one of the episodes, Riddhima playfully pulled Maheep's leg by calling her aunty, which brought her some criticism and trolls, and now she has reacted to the same.
Earlier, during one of the episodes of Fabulous Wives Vs Bollywood Wives, Riddhima Kapoor revealed that she had a childhood crush on Sanjay Kapoor, Maheep's husband. Well, she also mentioned that she wondered what she should call Sanjay, as back in her childhood days, she used to address the actor as uncle. Meanwhile, Maheep asked Riddhima not to call her 'aunty', or else the former would beat her. For the same, Riddhima was called out by the netizens for age-shaming Maheep. And now, Riddhima reacted to the same.

As per a report by Koimoi, in an interview with News18, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni shared that when someone writes or says, 'You are looking old', that is what is known as a serious comment, but what she did was nothing but a friend pulling the other's leg. Riddhima further added that Maheep is her chacha's friend, and she has called the latter aunty before. Riddhima Kapoor can be heard saying:
"If someone is writing seriously that Kalyani, you know, you are looking old—that’s a serious comment. But when somebody’s pulling a friend’s leg, like I did with Maheep, it’s different. Maheep and Sanjay were actually originally my chacha’s friends, right? So if I had called her aunty, it was all in fun."
Going forward in the interview, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni questioned if it's not normal for someone to pull a friend's leg. She addressed the trolls that she had to face for calling Maheep aunty. Riddhima asked if these people had never done something out of fun with their friends. She further shared that she had told Maheep aunty on her face, and the latter had playfully threatened to whack her. In Riddhima's words:
"Friends don’t do that? They pull each other’s leg, no? But people were like, ‘No, why are you calling Maheep aunty?’ Arrey bhai, have you never joked with your friends? That’s so stupid. Main toh muh pe bolti hu and Maheep tells me, ‘I’ll whack you'."
In an episode, Riddhima Kapoor said that she had a crush on Sanjay Kapoor. So much so that whenever he would come to visit Neetu Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor at their home, then-little Riddhima would run and hide behind the couch. Sanjay mentioned that he already knew about Riddhima having a crush on him, and Neetu Kapoor had herself told him that, while Rishi had no idea, or else he would have killed him.
