Bollywood actor, Rishi Kapoor was one of the most talented individuals in the Hindi film industry. Throughout his acting career, the actor never left a chance to win the hearts of his fans with his acting talent. It was in 1980 when Rishi got married to Neetu Kapoor. The duo has two kids, Ranbir and Riddhima Kapoor, and both of them are well-settled in their professional and personal lives. Recently, Riddhima revealed her father, Rishi's first meeting with her husband, Bharat Sahni.
It was in 2006 when Riddhima Kapoor got married to the love of her life, Bharat Shani. After seven years of their marital bliss, they welcomed their daughter, Samara, into their lives. In a recent interview, Riddhima walked down memory lane and recalled how her father, Rishi had reacted when he met Bhart Sahni for the first time. While talking to Galatta India, Riddhima was asked about Bharat's reaction when he had to meet Rishi Kapoor, she jokingly added, 'Phatti padi thi iski!' Bharat added that he was intimidated by the late veteran actor.

Going further in the interview, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni walked down memory lane and revealed that on the very first day, they all went to the Piano Bar in Mumbai, and Bharat was sweating like mad as he had to meet Rishi Kapoor. Talking about the same, Riddhima revealed that her father was only staring at Bharat throughout the entire evening and didn't speak to Bharat. Talking more about the same, Riddhima added:
"He was a few drinks down, he was sweating like mad when he knew we had to meet my dad. We all went to Piano Bar in Mumbai. Throughout the evening, my dad was standing next to the piano, just starring and glaring at Bharat, ‘Ki kaun hai bhai tu, upar se neeche dekh raha hai.'”
Further in the interview, Bharat Sahni revealed that he felt a bit pressurised on that day. The businessman further thanked the women in the family and added that he was able to break the ice with them. Talking about the same, Bharat added that on the first day, he and Rishi Kapoor didn't exchange any words and just had some eye contact. Bharat also added that as Riddhima was the only daughter in the family, Rishi took his time and didn't easily give in. Bharat mentioned that he and Riddhima were given a couple of years and were told that if they felt that they were meant to be together, then only then would they be married. Bharat stated:
"Riddhima being the only daughter, he took his time. He told me, ‘You have a couple of years, and even after that if you guys feel you are meant to be then we will get you married."

In the same interview, Riddhima shared that her wedding was attended by several stars like Sridevi, Salman Khan, and Shah Rukh Khan, and all of them performed, and the reason was her dad's love and goodwill. Riddhima also added that her sangeet was a blast, and everyone enjoyed it with their hearts out, which made it feel like family.
