"Everything in life is not about optics- Helping someone in need and in whatever capacity you can is the biggest blessing."
Sudhir Dalvi had enjoyed fame for a while after starring as Sai Baba in the 1977 film Shirdi ke Sai Baba, sharing the screen with Bollywood legends, Manoj Kumar, Hema Malini, and Rajendra Kumar, among others. Recently, the 86-year-old veteran actor's wife, Suhas Dalvi, shared with India Today that he has been admitted to the ICU after contracting complications from sepsis. She also said that they were a middle-income family and needed financial help for Sudhir's treatments. She shared:
“We are like any middle-class family who has limited savings. Unlike government employees who get pension, actors have no such benefits. So, I would still request everyone to come forward and help us in any way they can. Sudhir needs to be in the hospital for more time now.”

Suhas Dalvi also shared with the portal how they learned about his condition. She revealed that on October 8, 2025, Sudhir suffered extreme pain, following which he lost the ability to move his limbs. After the veteran actor was admitted to the hospital and tests were conducted, his family got to know about the sepsis infection. Sudhir Dalvi's wife said:
"That’s when we got to know it was a sepsis infection, which has affected all his joints. And since the infection is now in his blood, the recovery has been extremely slow. We never anticipated something like this to happen with us, and thus it’s emotionally and financially a tough time."
