Ridhi Dogra Says She's Ready To Fall In Love Again After Divorce From Raqesh Bapat, 'I'm Very Picky'

Ridhi Dogra married the former love of her life, Raqesh Bapat, on May 29, 2011, which was a surprise to their sea of fans. The ex-couple got separated in 2019 and could not go strong in their relationship. Ridhi, who was once happily married to Raqesh, started living on her own after their separation. When she was married, she used to enjoy friends coming over to their place, and all of a sudden, the actress was alone. Over time, Ridhi developed a strong and healthy relationship with herself and is now open towards the idea of falling in love again.

Ridhi and Raqesh were married for eight years before they separated. For her, he was home, and for a long time, she had missed companionship. However, Ridhi has learnt to love herself, enjoy the period and have a happy relationship with herself. She recently sat down for an interview with Instant Bollywood and revealed being open towards the idea of falling in love one more time. In her words:

"Why will I not be open to falling in love? I mean I am always open to love. I am a big romantic and it takes very little time for me to fall in love. I am very picky."

When Ridhi Dogra shared that she wanted peace over chaos in a relationship

The actress, earlier in an interview with ETimes, shared that many people are trapped in lonely marriages. She shared it was important for all to understand that one should never be affected by anyone who enters or exits one's life. Ridhi revealed that having a journey inwards was very important, and also shared occasionally being in touch with Raqesh, as he is still family for her. In her words:

"I know that he is still family for me. People think that celebs can divorce and move on in their lives, but that’s not true. It may sound bookish, but you have to be at peace with yourself, understand your flaws and appreciate the good qualities. I am thankful to Raqesh for helping me evolve and our friendship has helped us transition easily into a new phase."

Ridhi Dogra and Raqesh Bapat had an instant connection

Ridhi agreed that it required a lot of dignity as well as grace to separate from her ex-husband, but she is grateful for what she has in life. It was on the sets of Maryada - Lekin Kab Tak that both of them became friends and then fell into an instant connection with one another. It did not take much time for both of them to fall for each other and shared once with iDiva of breaking a bed when she did her first scene with Raqesh. In her words:

"Our first scene was an intimate scene on a bed, and we broke the bed! We laughed it off and became really good friends, more like buddies".

Ridhi believed in 'Pyaar dosti hai' and shared that in the first meeting, the actress became friends with Raqesh, and one fine day, they married. However, they were later destined not to be together.
