Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding bash, which is being hosted in Jamnagar, Gujarat, has been a topic of discussion not only in the Indian media but also in the international media. Ahead of the duo’s wedding in July 2024, Mukesh and Nita Ambani arranged a three-day extravagant soiree and left no stone unturned to celebrate the union of their beloved youngest son. The most-talked-about highlight of this grand gala was a performance by the immensely popular singer, Rihanna.
The Barbadian singer’s electric performance led everyone present at the event to shake a leg or two. This was Rihanna’s first-ever performance in India and the singer reportedly received a whopping sum of something between Rs. 50-75 crore for her 30-45-minute performance. After her gig at the Ambani gala, she hurriedly left India and did not stay back for other festivities.

Recently, a report by Moneycontrol stated the reason behind her quick exit from India. After the show, the pop singer went live with her best friend, Melissa Forde, and on her way to the Jamnagar airport, the singer revealed that she loved India and shared why she left early. As per the report, she said:
“Is this live for real? I had the best time in India. I only have two days. The only reason I am leaving India is because my kids are (unclear audio). I have to come back.”
For her performance at Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding soiree, Rihanna opted for a shimmery green dress paired with pink pants. She sang her popular songs like Diamonds, We Found Love, Where Have You Been, Rude Boy and Pour It Up. Later, Rihanna even thanked the Ambanis for inviting her to the ceremony. She said:
“Thanks to the Ambani family, I'm here tonight in honour of Anant and Radhika. Thank you for having me here. God bless your union. I wish you the best. Congratulations.”

Before departing from Jamnagar, Rihanna happily posed with the paparazzi and interacted with them. She even held the hands of two female cops and took pictures with them. Rihanna even hugged them later. In some other videos, the singer said that she had not done a real show in eight years and promised to come back to India.
