Prasanna Sankar's Estranged Wife, Dhivya Accuses Him Of Forcing Her For Open Marriage, 'Nightmare..'

Prasanna Sankaranarayanan, also called Prasanna Sankar, is an entrepreneur from Singapore. The Indian origin man from Chennai, Tamil Nadu has been in the news after he exposed his estranged wife, Dhivya on X of having an affair with a man called, Anoop Kuttysankaran. He made the text messages between his estranged wife, Dhivya Sashidhar and Anoop viral, where she was seen requesting for extra large condoms. He also accused her of kidnapping his child. For the unversed, Prasanna and Dhivya had met during their undergraduation at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Trichy. Now, Dhivya has lately claimed that Prasanna forced her into an open marriage.

It was in 2007 when Prasanna and Dhivya crossed paths. From friendship to getting into a relationship, their love bloomed. Their relationship was kept alive even when Prasanna shifted to Silicon Valley to fulfil his business dreams and Dhivya studied at the University Of Cambridge. Prasanna did build Rippling, a San Francisco management company workforce, but his personal life became chaotic. Amid emotional accusations, washing dirty linen in public and a custody battle of their son, Dhivya now, in an interview with the San Francisco Standard, accused her husband of mental abuse, visiting many escorts and forcing her into an open marriage.

Dhivya also alleged that Prasanna dragged her and their son from one country to the other to avoid taxes. She called her marriage to Prasanna the 'worst nightmare' of her life. It was in March 2025 when Prasanna in an array of tweets had made explosive revelations related to Dhivya's alleged extra marital relationship.

Dhivya Sashidhar claims Prasanna Shankar pressurised her for intimacy

While Dhivya and Prasanna fight for parental rights for their son at the court, she claimed that he was emotionally aloof as a father and also as a husband. She claimed that she had some ongoing pain after her childbirth complications and even after that Prasanna used to force her for physical intimacy, showing no consideration towards her emotional and physical state. When the former couple moved to Singapore, Dhivya was laid off from Microsoft and Prasanna worked with a crypto startup. She testified that he told her she was not entitled to his wealth and Dhivya had to take care of her son alone in a foreign land. In her words:

"He would come back home and sit with his laptop. We had very limited time together."

Dhivya also alleged that Prasanna immersed himself in 'frivolous sexual behaviours with many partners/prostitutes'. She also claimed that he had put pressure on her to sleep with his acquaintances, something that she found difficult to digest and traumatic.

Prasanna claimed that his marriage with Dhivya went kaput after he discovered that she had been in an extramarital affair for six months with Anoop. He also shared a screenshot shared by Anoop's wife, which showed Dhivya had booked a hotel. She refuted the authenticity of the texts and revealed to The Standard that the messages had been fabricated.
